George was completely obsessed.
Even his family couldn't control him—he was just wild for her.
With those two backing them, their company hadn't even officially launched, and they were already winning. Even old, established firms had to bow to them.
So when they heard someone was pushing them around, everyone lost their tempers.
Now that they realized the luxury car belonged to Gilbert, they knew exactly who the woman was—even without seeing her face.
They'd just attacked their own boss.
On top of that, she was brawling with a random woman in public.
Anyone with sense knew how bad this would get. They immediately tried to stop the livestreams, but it was too late—the footage was already out.
They had no choice but to call Gilbert, but for some reason, they couldn't reach him at all.
Luckily, Julia hadn't had any real hits lately, and a top female star named Jojo had just blown up. All the public attention was on her now.
The group let out a sigh of relief.
They finally pulled Julia away.
Meanwhile, Sherry slept soundly.
She'd gotten her revenge yesterday, but it still wasn't enough.
Her knees hurt badly, but more than the physical pain, she was exhausted.
She didn't even feel hungry anymore; she'd collapsed on the sofa and passed out.
When she woke up, Lucas was still gone.
He'd texted her the night before, saying he wouldn't be home.
Normally, if he wasn't coming back, he kept her updated nonstop.
But last night was different—nothing.
Still, Sherry understood.
She'd left sharply, but she'd seen the cold, dangerous look flash in Lucas' eyes right after.
Max had also gotten a call halfway through and left in a huge hurry.
Something was definitely going on.
Thankfully, Juan was still here.
"Did something happen to Max and Lucas? They haven't come back."
"It's not like that..." Juan looked panicked.
Before she could explain, people walked in with stacks of documents and started organizing files in the office.
The space was usually open for them to use, but now whatever big thing she wanted to say was stuck in her throat.
That was how things worked with the Harrison family. It wasn't that no one could talk, but almost no one could handle the consequences of talking.
Even if you accidentally heard something, you couldn't be sure it was true, and you dared not spread it. You just kept it to yourself. Because if it got traced back to you, that would be...
And anyone with a conscience wouldn't spread stories to hurt people anyway.
But Sherry had already offended Irene.
Sherry saw how hesitant Juan was and knew this wasn't the time to talk freely.
"Hey, I need you to do something for me."
She received a photo from Melissa.
The second Sherry saw it, she smiled—a smile she couldn't hold back, even in a serious situation.
"I'm sending you a picture. Make sure you buy enough trending spots. Put it on my tab."
Lucas had said that tensions between them and Bode Group were already turning hostile.
