Conflict was inevitable. Their businesses overlapped too much.
On top of that, Julia was fighting for entertainment resources.
She kept claiming she had nothing to do with Gilbert or anyone else, but everyone knew exactly who she was leaning on.
So Sherry let the company cover her expenses, but she still preferred to pay her own way.
When Juan saw the photos, she spit out the water a coworker had handed her.
The coworker jumped. "I poured you cold water, right?"
Juan couldn't talk about the Harrison family secrets, but this was different—the more people who knew, the better.
She showed the photos to her coworker. The usually serious man burst out laughing.
Sherry got a little excited too. She treated her wounds and headed to the office to meet Juan for lunch.
As soon as she walked out, she saw someone curled up in a ball.
Sherry recognized Yelena immediately.
"Yelena! What are you doing here?"
Sherry's heart nearly stopped. She grabbed her friend.
Yelena had recently said a boss had hired her as a private trainer at his private ski resort.
It was supposed to keep Hector away—they weren't in Keiperian anymore, and the boss was no ordinary person. He was a hidden tycoon.
Yelena looked up and blinked innocently. "I wanted to surprise you, but I ended up falling asleep."
Sherry relaxed when she saw that Yelena looked healthy and unhurt.
"Perfect timing. Let's get Juan and go eat. There's a new place near the office. Let's try it."
Yelena jumped up. "Yes!"
"You've been eating well at the big shot's place. Why do you look like you haven't had good food in ages?"
"Don't even get me started. Their chef only makes one style of food. It's good, but I got so bored with it."
When she saw that the other tables' food looked good, Yelena started drooling.
Creamy chicken soup—she was just about to order when someone else spoke first.
"Creamy chicken soup."
The moment they heard that voice, both of their faces changed.
Lucas?
Hector knew who Lucas was, but he didn't say his name.
If not, why was Julia trying so hard to get close to Lucas?
The thought flashed and faded.
Sherry stared at him coldly. "None of that matters. If you can't be with Julia, why didn't you tell the other women? Why didn't you tell Yelena?"
Especially after what happened to Yelena's parents...
Hector stood elegantly, naturally eye-catching.
Even when Sherry spoke to him in a foreign language, he held his head high, proud.
He obviously didn't want more people to know.
Most people in the restaurant spoke no foreign languages, but nothing could be guaranteed.
Sherry had to warn Hector. Who knew what he might do to humiliate Yelena later, in front of even more people?
Hector smirked, his handsome face roguish and dangerously charming to women.
