Her Revenge Was His Regret (Shirley and Gilbert) novel Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Dale doted on Teresa the most.

It was Dale’s suggestion that Sherry be locked in the dark room. He did it to avenge Teresa.

They used to be Sherry’s closest family, but now, seeing them only filled her with fear.

Sherry turned to run. Just as she saw a door that offered an escape route, someone blocked her way.

“Sherry, I’ve finally caught you!”

Teresa stood in the doorway, her eyes dark and menacing as she stared at Sherry.

Seeing Sherry’s panicked expression like a deer, Teresa remembered the humiliation she had suffered. Teresa, despite all the makeup, was nowhere near as pretty as Sherry. Thinking of this. Teresa’s breathing quickened with anger!

Teresa deliberately wore a nail-like ring on her finger, ready to slap Sherry’s face. She desperately wanted to scratch Sherry’s face.

Sherry instinctively grabbed Teresa’s wrist, pulling her to the ground and trying to run away. Unexpectedly, someone kicked her from behind.

There was a deep slope to the side, and Sherry fell straight down.

Terasa was startled, and the next moment a man embraced her. Dale carefully examined Teresa and asked, “Are you hurt?”

Teresa secretly threw away what she was holding in the darkness. Her eyes were red like a rabbit’s. “Sherry slapped me, and then she fell down herself. What should we do? It’s all my fault. If I hadn’t been standing here, She wouldn’t have gotten angry and hit me, then she wouldn’t have fallen.”

A flash of worry crossed Dale’s eyes. Hearing Teresa’s words, he felt that Sherry deserved it. “Don’t worry about her. I was only trying to scare her. I didn’t expect her to be so ungrateful as to hit you. I think I didn’t hit her hard enough. You guys go down and get Sherry out. Teresa, what’s wrong?”

Teresa nestled in Dale’s arms. “I feel so weak. That slap from Sherry… I feel like I’m going to die. Dale, am I going to die?”

Teresa’s deathly appearance panicked Dale. “Forget about Sherry. She won’t die. Teresa is feeling unwell. Bring the car over. We’re going to the hospital. Teresa, don’t sleep. Hang in there.”

They left, leaving Sherry behind.

Teresa could barely contain her smugness. What good was Sherry’s beauty? She wouldn’t pretend to be weak like other women. Every man, no matter what, likes to be admired by women.

If a woman pretends to be weak, men will bravely stand up for her. Of course, Teresa had gone to great lengths to win their favor.

Chapter 36

Sherry was just unlucky.

There could only be one princess in this family.

Sherry was awakened by something furry. In the moonlight, she discovered it was a mouse!

She screamed in despair, but only her own echo answered her. She was all alone nearby. She panicked immediately.

“Dale!”

No one answered.

Teresa was one thing, but Dale wanted her dead too?

Sherry felt a pang of pain. Even a stranger wouldn’t stand by and watch her die.

Sherry had always believed that without love, there is no hate. She was certain her love for them was gone. But why did she still feel hatred? They were her family.

From this day forward, the Campbells were nothing to her. They could die right before her eyes, and she wouldn’t even glance at them.

She gritted her teeth and got up.

After taking a few steps in the dark, her legs gave way. She tripped and fell. She felt herself fall onto some medical equipment. Many things scratched her legs. Excruciating pain and blood flowed down her.

The bleeding wasn’t the worst part. The worst part was that she didn’t know what had scratched her. Could there be some kind of virus? Would she die here?

She might die here, her body rotting, and no one would come to collect her body.

Sherry gave a self-deprecating laugh and dragged her weak body forward. She hadn’t eaten or drunk anything all day. Then she’d been kicked and fallen. She was exhausted and in pain, blood streaming down her trouser legs.

Just when she was at her worst, a torrential downpour began.
