Her Revenge Was His Regret (Shirley and Gilbert) novel Chapter 403

"The kind of woman who stays home and obeys her man—that's exactly what we need, Ms. Gable. She has to be obedient. A stubborn woman like this needs to be broken in properly."

Eileen clapped her chest confidently. "Don't worry. No matter who walks in here, they'll end up just like any quiet housewife, taking care of their husband and family."

This was no psychiatric hospital. It was a place stuck in the dark ages.

Any sane person would go crazy here.

Julia stared at Sherry and mouthed silently.

"This place was made just for you, Sherry. Enjoy every second. It'll be worse than death.

"If you're pissed off, go on—beg Gilbert for help. See who he believes."

She pressed herself tightly against Gilbert, looking like the ultimate winner. Soon she would hear Sherry scream. The staff here were handpicked by her all the way from Keiperian.

She would make Sherry regret everything and beg for mercy. This time, Sherry would panic.

How dare that shameless woman copy her?

But Sherry didn't even glance at Gilbert. "To Mr. Holden's security team, you'd better report exactly what you saw to your boss. Watch how Lucas' so-called fiancée clings to another woman's husband.

"There's a reason Lucas never announced Julia as his fiancée. Some women just throw themselves at men. Hardly the right choice for a wife."

Sherry's expression stayed calm.

Julia's smug grin faded instantly.

"No—th-that's not true! It's a misunderstanding! She's framing me, I—"

The guards spoke firmly, "We will report everything exactly as it happened."

Julia went pale.

She had been trying to make a good impression on Damon.

She had researched him before and thought he sounded much older—so old she could've believed he was in his fifties, with a rigid way of doing things.

She'd written him off completely at first.

But he turned out to be gentlemanly and handsome.

Her carefully built image was ruined!

She glared daggers at Sherry.

"What if she doesn't make it? She's already nothing but skin and bones."

Julia's pink lips curled into a cruel smile. "It doesn't matter. I'll take responsibility if she dies. Do whatever you want to her."

"You heard that! Well, look at this little bitch still glaring at me," Eileen sneered, clearly eager to please. "Keep staring, and soon you'll be begging for mercy. Move!"

She shoved Sherry roughly into a room darker and more terrifying than any prison cell. There were no windows at all.

The stench of mold burned her nose and eyes. Sherry could barely make out two narrow beds. In the back bed, she thought she saw a faint figure.

"What are you standing there for? Can't handle a place like this? Too used to living like a fancy lady? Look down on this room? Let me tell you, you aren't the only rich wife who's come here! And every last one ended up obedient.

"Some even start picking out other women for their husbands.

"You need to learn your place, bitch!"

Eileen wasn't just following orders—she hated Sherry deeply, with a clear edge of jealousy. Sherry almost thought she was imagining it.

Then she looked up and saw the shape in the darkness.

"Who's there?"
