“Do you think she can protect you, or can I fire you right now?”

They weighed their options, muttering, “Mrs. Bode is definitely not favored.”

Many people desperately wanted to work for their family, but they didn’t need anyone. Sherry handled all the chores herself.

At first, they seemed like a loving couple, but then something felt off.

Which husband wouldn’t take his wife around with him instead of having her wait on him around at home? People who didn’t know better would think Sherry was a maid. Most people didn’t even know who Mrs. Bode was.

People probably wouldn’t recognize her if they bumped into her outside.

Cathy saw their hesitation. “You know, I’ll always be a Bode, but Mrs. Bode can be replaced anytime.”

They thought Cathy was right and immediately ran away.

Sherry had already reached the water.

Seeing Sherry drink water made Cathy very mad. She hadn’t even quenched her thirst. Why did Sherry get to live so comfortably? She walked to the bedside and pulled the blanket off, causing Sherry, who was drinking water, to spill it all over her face and choke.

Cathy burst out laughing. “Look at you. I feel so good now. You should have been this pathetic long ago. You’ve been a parasite, freeloading off our family for so many years. Só shameless!”

Sherry wondered how Cathy could say that. “Have you forgotten how you hid behind me like a rat when you were being chased by debt collectors?”

Gilbert was traumatized and in a daze back then. Their parents were gone. Cathy almost wet herself hiding

behind her.

She was young too, and her mental state had only been stable for a year. She stood in front of Cathy and dealt with those things.

Now Cathy says she’s been supported by them?

“Stop trying to use this to pressure me. It’s because of you that Sam and I were forced to break up. My sister said that even without you, the Bode family wouldn’t have gotten into trouble! Otherwise, how could a loser like you have done so much for the Campbell family? You think I’m young and trying to fool me? You’re just a lunatic who’s been to a mental hospital. You don’t think you’re so great that you can change our fate, do you?”

Cathy looked at Sherry with disdain. “Who knows? You could be still mentally ill. That stuff is hereditary, The Bode family can’t have that kind of offspring. No wonder my brother doesn’t let you get pregnant, afraid of giving birth to a little lunatic… Ah! What are you doing? You hit me?”

Chapter 80

Sherry threw the glass she was holding at her, hitting her on the head.

Cathy’s eyes were bloodshot with anger. Why did Sherry keep talking back to her?

Before, no matter how outrageous Sherry’s words were, Sherry never said anything. Now she wouldn’t pretend anymore. Her sister was right. She had been deceived by Sherry. “You dare hit me! Who do you think you are? I’ll beat you to death!”

Sherry grabbed the other glasses on the table and threw them at Cathy. Although she didn’t have much strength, she threw them accurately until everything on the table was gone.

Cathy scattered in terror.

Sherry took out her phone and called the police. “Hello, I suspect someone is trying to murder me.”

Others might not have sensed it, but she could tell that someone pushed her to stop her from attacking Gilbert, or genuinely wanted to knock her down. Even if Cathy didn’t want to kill her, she wanted to leave her half-dead.

The back of her hand was bruised and clearly visible.

It was obvious who did it.
