She had done so many bad things to Sherry. Sherry wouldn’t let her get away with it. “Gilbert, no! Sherry will definitely use this to torment me. I don’t trust her! She’ll definitely retaliate!”

Sherry had already backed down.

Cathy was indeed acting immaturely. It seemed she needed some lecture. “Then are you willing to go to jail? There won’t be any consequences if you go to jail. Just some minor injuries. A Bode girl should have backbone!”

“I can accept any punishment. But I don’t want Sherry to do it. I don’t trust her…”

Sherry’s hand was on the play button. If Cathy didn’t agree, her vicious face would be clearly displayed before everyone.

Cathy knew very well what she had done. She couldn’t afford to be humiliated in front of so many people.

“Sherry, you’re much more vicious than I imagined. Fine, I agree.”

She did agree. But outside the police station, what could Sherry do to her if she didn’t cooperate?

They returned to the Bode villa.

Upon entering, she was startled. The entire room was bright and airy.

She hadn’t been back for a while.

After driving Sherry away, she went her own home. After all, she’d come here specifically to upset Sherry.

“Gilbert! Don’t you hate white? Why did you decorate the room like this?” Cathy glared at Sherry resentfully. “Did you insist Gilbert change it? This isn’t your home, and you don’t earn the money. Why should it be according to your preferences?”

“Cathy, watch your attitude,” Gilbert scolded Cathy, then said to Sherry. “From now on, you can do whatever you like. You don’t need to cater to me anymore.”

He had indeed been too domineering before, never considering Sherry’s feelings.

Sherry looked around.

The entire room was indeed decorated according to her preferences. So Gilbert knew what she liked.

Therefore, he had only ignored her requests before because she was sensible and easy to bully.

Did he really think she’d be happy?

Now, looking at this only made her feel ironic.

Chapter 90

Cathy couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “Gilbert, Sherry’s thinking of ways to torment me. 1…

Cathy was still complaining.

She didn’t want to suffer any loss, especially not from Sherry,

Sherry was just a housewife. The Bode family provided her with food, drink, and shelter. She should be grateful.

Otherwise, she would have been homeless long ago.

What right did Sherry have to discipline her with family rules?

In her heart, Sherry would never be a Bode.

Before she could finish speaking, Gilbert’s phone rang. “I have things to do at the company. The rest is up to you. Cathy really is being unreasonable. This time, as long as you follow the rules, I won’t stop you.”

There was a hint of ingratiation in his tone. A five-star chef’s beef ribs were laid out on the table. “You didn’t eat well last time. I saw you really enjoyed it but didn’t eat much. This is to make up for it.”

He actually had the nerve to bring up that.

Gilbert glanced at Cathy after speaking. “You’d better give me a break. Listen to Sherry.”

Cathy grinned. “Gilbert, don’t worry. I will.”

Seeing Cathy’s ever-obedient smile, Gilbert patted her hair reassuringly and left.

As soon as he left, Cathy’s expression changed.

She sat down like a haughty peacock, crossed her legs, and spoke as if ordering a maid. “Such fine food is a waste for someone like you. Only someone like me deserves to have it. So I will enjoy this all by myself. What are you still standing there for? Pour me a glass of wine. You have absolutely no sense of propriety. No wonder Gilbert doesn’t like you.”

Sherry actually went to the cabinet next to her to get wine.

Cathy snorted, her nostrils flaring. Sherry’s earlier bravado at the police station had completely vanished.

Sherry must have known that if she bullied her too much, it would only make Gilbert more annoyed.

Sherry had been their nanny for so long. How could she really bear to leave? She still had to appease her in

the end.
