Cathy stormed out and threw the clothes at Sherry’s face because of a tiny wrinkle. “Are you stupid? How can you not even iron clothes properly? If you can’t do it, just die!”
Even if Sherry did everything meticulously, Cathy could find fault and then berate her for incompetence, saying the ugliest things imaginable.
Now Cathy lay on the floor as if she was dead.
Sherry ignored her and picked up her knife and fork to eat.
It was really delicious.
After finishing, she returned to her room.
It was clearly meticulously designed. But you could see the exact same room in any slightly upscale hotel.
It was indeed quite expensive.
But Wendy’s Splendor Villa was clearly the work of a master. The design was luxurious yet
tasteful.
In comparison, this house was practically garbage. Gilbert’s dedication to the two houses was worlds apart.
There was a thick stack of design drawings for building the Splendor Villa. The house was simply a copy- paste of a high-end hotel’s decor.
Sherry lay on the bed.
Not long ago, she had lived here. But now, she felt this was no longer her home.
Had she ever truly considered this place her home?
They only treated her like a maid.
Only she smugly believed she was living a real life.
Sherry took out her phone and made a call. She drifted off to sleep, not knowing how much time had passed.
The next day, she was awakened by a piercing scream.
She heard heavy footsteps.
“Sherry, I will kill you!”
Cathy roared hoarsely, bursting in like a madwoman. Seeing Sherry slowly waking up and sleeping comfortably, Cathy’s even angrier. “You lay here so comfortably while I lay on the floor. Do you know how itchy and painful my hair is because of the dried wine? Yesterday you pushed me and I almost died. I’m calling the police to arrest you and put you in jail for life!”

She would never let Sherry off the hook if she got the chance.
“Go ahead. You fell down yourself. Let the police see how stupid you are.”

Cathy was so angry that she was about to grind her teeth to powder. “I don’t care. You’re the one who made me fall to the ground. It’s all your fault. I will tell Gilbert to punish you properly by pouring red wine all over you!”
“I suggest you wait until later. After all, you have a lot to say.”
Just as she finished speaking, someone pushed open the door and grabbed Cathy. “Ms. Bode, come with me.”
“Who are you? What are you doing? Let me tell you, I’m the only daughter of the Bode family! If you dare lay a hand on me, I’ll make sure you can’t stay in Seaseat City! Let me go!”
They were clearly professionals. Without a word, they dragged Cathy into the bathroom and scrubbed her like a piece of pork.
Cathy suddenly felt this scene was very familiar.
After cleaning her, they placed her on a cutting board.
That old woman held a magnifying glass, staring at every inch of her skin. The more she looked, the deeper her brows furrowed.
Being held there naked was incredibly humiliating. These people were looking at her as if she were a commodity, making her extremely uncomfortable.
But she was held down and couldn’t move at all.
Not only that, that old woman was also commenting. “Rough, dull skin. Is that even a butt? How can a woman have such a flat butt? Was it shaved off? You even have a birthmark. Ugly, rough. Utterly worthless! A complete defective product!”
She then held up a magnifying glass to examine her breasts. “I can’t even see your breasts under magnification. Are you a man? Bring the instrument over. I need to take a closer look.”
Ever since Sherry said those things, whenever Cathy was conscious, those words would occasionally float into her mind. This woman saying she couldn’t see her breasts even with a magnifying glass was an insult!
