“There’s nothing going on.” Yvette let out a quiet sigh. “I’m straight. Even if she had feelings for me, nothing would ever happen.”
“Keep your distance from her.”
“What exactly do you mean by that?” Yvette tilted her head up, glancing at his sharp jawline.
Brandon lowered his gaze to meet hers. “Treat her like one of the guys. Keep it casual. No hand–holding, no hugging–no physical contact at all.”
Yvette fought back a smile. The jealousy was plain on his face, and his tone sounded bitter.
She’d never pictured Brandon being jealous over her.
And the person stirring his jealousy was another woman.
“Alright, I got it.”
Brandon smiled in satisfaction. His eyes drifted to her soft lips, and he leaned down for a quick, tender kiss.
They returned to Whitmore Manor later, walking inside hand in hand.
Harper sat in the living room, drawing on a piece of paper. Julian was on the sofa, one arm loosely wrapped around Iris’s waist from behind. They huddled close, scrolling their phones and talking softly about a newly released medical drug.
Harper looked up when she heard them walk in. “Uncle Brandon, Aunt Yvette! You’re home.”
“Hey, sweet girl.” Yvette let go of Brandon’s hand and crouched beside her, brushing her hair gently. “Are you drawing?”
“Mhm, look.” Harper held up her artwork for Yvette to see.
Julian pulled away from Iris and nodded at Brandon in greeting.
Brandon sat across from them. Iris smiled politely. “Brandon, Yvette.”
“Why is Harper still up so late?” Brandon’s eyes flicked between Yvette and Harper.
He watched Yvette quietly. It was clear how much she adored kids. She was soft and patient with Harper.

Chapter 472 Warmth at the Whitmore Manor
Iris balanced work and motherhood perfectly. She loved Harper deeply, but her career always took up a huge part of her focus.
Yvette, though, was naturally maternal.
“It’s the weekend tomorrow. She wanted to finish her painting before bed,” Iris replied.
Brandon never cared much about Julian and Iris’s personal life, but the question slipped out naturally. “Have you two thought about having another kid?”
“No,” Julian answered. “Harper is more than enough for us. Iris’s time is valuable, and I refuse to let pregnancy slow her down.”
Brandon nodded in agreement. They thought exactly alike.
He glanced back at Yvette again. She was fully focused on Harper’s drawing, quiet and attentive the whole time.
Iris noticed his odd mood. She moved over to sit beside him and lowered her voice. “Everything good between you and Yvette?”
Brandon smiled faintly. “Yeah, we’re fine now.”
Iris patted his shoulder lightly. “Things will only get better.”
“Mhm.” Brandon nodded.
He had no doubt their marriage would get better and better.
Bright lamps lit up the living room, casting a warm, cozy vibe over the whole space.
Harper finished her painting. Everyone showered her with compliments, boosting her confidence. She hopped around happily before a maid led her back to her bedroom to sleep.
Brandon then took Yvette back to their room to rest.
Back on the sofa, Julian pulled Iris into his arms again and nuzzled his face in her hair.
Even after years of marriage, he still loved clinging to her and holding her close.
Iris always teased him, saying he treated her like a cat he couldn’t stop petting.
Julian never denied it. He could never keep his hands off her. Touching, kissing, holding her- he never got tired of it.

She always smelled sweet and felt soft, and he simply couldn’t stay away from her.
Iris’s phone pinged twice.
She opened WhatsApp.
Julian leaned in curiously. “Who’s texting you?”
