Finally, everyone is ready for the ball, it’s been one crazy day and for a moment I didn’t think I’d be getting to the ball after all. I apologized to everyone for my little disappearing act and I am thankful they were very forgiven and understanding.

I didn’t mean to scare anyone, I didn’t even think about when I was taken, I just needed out of the house for a while but Brooke has already made me promise to tell someone before I wander off again.

“Are you ready Bethany?” I look up to a smiling Brooke and her beauty is just breath taking. She’s got a full-length red ball gown on with lace sleeves, her long brown hair is up in a high bun and she reminds me of a Disney princess so beautiful and elegant.

“Calvin is going to pass out when he sees you, Brooke, you look stunning!”

“Look at yourself Beth, so incredibly beautiful!” I feel a blush rise on my cheeks as I double-check my look in the mirror, I’ve gone with a dark blue halter neck floor-length dress, it has lace to the top of my chest, it’s backless and I honestly love it.

My long blonde hair has been curled with one side pinned up, my makeup minimal as usual and black heels bring me some much-wanted height, I’m only 5ft2 and I hate being a short a*s.

Ashley soon appears quickly shooing us towards the steps and I see some of the men waiting at the bottom, we make our way down and Ashley quickly makes his way to Jack’s side while Calvin comes to the bottom of the stairs ready to help Brooke down the last few.

I can see Liam standing back by the wall and the minute he catches me looking he’s instantly beaming, s**t he looks hot! His hair is up in his usual man bun while his grey suit is hugging his muscles in all the right places, he’s left the last couple of buttons on his white shirt open, and f**k me it’s hot!

This crush or whatever I have on him needs to stop or at least calm down, I know it’s just a crush but it’s getting out of hand! Enjoying the book? “Careful there Bethany, we don’t want you hurting yourself now do we!” He lets out a little chuckle as I feel my skin crawl from his touch, I quickly stand up and pull away from his arms while trying to be discreet.

“Thank you, Jake.” I manage to spill out the words sweetly but all I want to do is run from him, he’s been getting insanely creepy over this past week, he always seems to be around and uses any excuse to touch me and I’m praying with everything I have that he’s not my mate.

“No need to thank me, Bethany, I’m glad I could help. Would you care to escort me to the ball?” Hmm nope, not even a little bit! I look around and my eyes quickly find Liam and thankfully has already heading my way.

“Sorry Jake but this lovely lady has already agreed to allow me to escort her to the ball.” He puts out his arm to me and I gladly link my arm with his, smile and nod to Jake and follow Liam as he escorts me out of the packhouse and around the back where the ball is already in full swing.

“Oh, my goddess, thank you, Liam! Why is he always around?”

“There’s no way he was escorting you my little wolf don’t worry and I don’t know what’s going on with him but I have noticed he’s constantly around, but don’t you worry you just enjoy tonight, your safe and that’s all that matters!”

I quickly agree as we make it to our table and get ready for the announcements to start, Brooke looks so excited and it’s infectious. I’m seated in between Ashley and Brooke and Liam is between Jack and Sarah and he doesn’t look happy about it. We sit around talking for a little while before Calvin stands up to start his speech and as usual, he’s amazing.

“Welcome everyone, first of all, I want to thank you all for taking the time to come here tonight to witness my beautiful mate Brooke officially announced as your Luna!” The place quickly fills with cheers, whistles, and howls and I’m beaming with pride for my sister.
