Everyone’s ready and waiting at the party spot for Jack and Ashley to arrive. Jack has gone all out there’s a massive dance floor with a DJ set up to the side and large round tables and chairs spread out, there are two bars, banners, balloons and hundreds of fairy lights draped over the trees surrounding us.

it’s beautiful and everyone has made the effort to look good too which Ash will love! Jack just linked Cal to tell him they are on their way so we all huddle up and keep quiet waiting for the birthday boy.

“SURPRISE!” We all yell out as soon as Ashley comes into sight and there’s no denying, he didn’t have a clue about this party he’s so shocked, this is Ashley though so it doesn’t take long for him to switch to his happy excited self as he greets everyone with kisses and hugs before pulling Jack in for a very long kiss and thanking him.

We’re all soon chatting and laughing away when I catch the sight of Liam walking towards us and my f*****g heart starts pounding! He comes straight over to us and he looks hot, it’s unfair how good he looks after 2 days of travelling. I don’t see Sarah anywhere maybe he left her at the other pack? One can hope anyway!

He stops in front of me and for a moment he gives me a strange look but then a huge smile appears across his face, a smile I never thought I’d see again, a smile he would give me before Sarah came along and bam there goes my knees! f**k clearly, I’m not over my crush, Great!

“Hi Bethany, it’s great to see you, you look lovely!” It feels like some of the old Liam is there but not all of him but before I can say anything back a high pitched screeching noise tears through my eardrums and without even looking, I know who it is, Sarah quickly appears at his side latching on to him like he’s her source of water and I feel my heart breaking all over again,

I’ve gone with a backless floor-length blue dress with a slit going down my left leg and matching blue stilettos, my hair is poker straight with a diamonte clip pinning one side up and this time I let Brooke go all out with my make-up if there’s ever a time for full make up its Ashley’s birthday and for those few seconds that Liam told me I looked lovely I felt like a queen! Luckily for me before I can dwell on it for too long, I’m pulled onto the dance floor by Ashley and Brooke and we’re soon lost in concentrating on the dances to the party songs playing, Jack has got this party perfect, this is Ashley’s style all over!

We made it back with just enough time to grab a shower and get changed before the party starts, I left Sarah getting ready claiming Cal had called me for an update but really, I need to speak to him alone. I make it outside just in time to join in with everyone yelling surprise before quickly spotting Cal and heading his way.

I almost reach him when I’m stopped in my tracks when I see Bethany Luna’s sister, I’m instantly reminded of my dream but I quickly shake it off, she looks beautiful and it seems to stir a strange feeling inside of me, it confuses me but I try not to think about it as I start talking to her.

It’s been all of two seconds before I hear the unmistakable sound of Sarah’s voice and she’s quickly hanging off my arm like she needs me to breathe, Bethany is quickly dragged along to the dance floor and I find I’m not happy that I couldn’t keep speaking to her and it’s a bit unsettling.

“Liam, it’s great to have you back, brother!” I look up to see a beaming Cal heading towards me and f**k me am I glad to see him. We share a swift hug as we slap each other on the back as soon as he reaches me.

“Cal, it’s great to be back man, I’ve missed everyone!” He has no idea how true this is.

“Cal, I need to speak to you alone as soon as we can, Sarah can’t be there, I know it’s Ashley’s party but as soon as you are free can you make an excuse to get us both out of here, please?” I quickly link him hoping Sarah doesn’t see and thankfully he links straight back letting me know he’ll make it happen.

This party is incredible, it’s so nice to laugh and dance and let everything else go even if it’s only for a few hours. We’re sitting down enjoying some cold drinks after all the dancing when ed Sheeran’s thinking out loud starts playing and it’s a favourite song of mine, Ash and Brooke’s and quickly Calvin and Jack are escorting them both to the dance floor while I sing along to the song watching them dance together so lovely.

I catch a glance of Liam in the corner of my eye and I can’t help wishing me and him were dancing together right now, I quickly realise it looks like he and Sarah are in a heated discussion and put my attention back on to the dance floor.

“Would you like to dance with me, Bethany?” I look up to find Jake smiling down at me holding his hand out, we’ve got on a lot better since I’ve started high school, he no longer freaks me out but now feels more like a friend and he’s helped me out a lot with settling in at school.

“Sure, why not!” I smile up to him while taking his hand and he quickly leads me to the dance floor and we join the others, he’s being friendly and I’m feeling relaxed enjoying the light conversation between us.

“GET YOUR f*****g HANDS OFF OF HER!” I look up to see Liam pulling Jake away from me looking furious, he throws his across the dance floor while the music stops and everyone’s attention turns to us.

“Liam, what’s wrong?” I don’t understand what’s going on here, he doesn’t say a word to me just stares at me with a confused look as if he doesn’t know what’s going on either before he says a quick sorry and runs from the dance floor heading for the packhouse. Sarah calls out to him but he ignores her and I put my attention back on Jake who’s getting up from the floor and I’m speechless, what the f**k just happened?

“What was that all about?” Jake looks to me for an answer but I don’t have one, he excuses himself before heading for the packhouse, Cal quickly has the music back on as he heads over to me and slowly everyone goes back to their night.
