2 days have passed since the last attack and finally, it’s starting to look like he’s run out of Rogues. Of course, Alpha John won’t let his guard down until the Beta has been caught and killed, he can’t just let him off when there’s a chance he will return again.

My girl is 18 tomorrow and I’m so excited I feel like a 5-year-old waiting for Santa to come on Christmas eve. Just one more day without her at my side, f**k when I look back over the last 3 years I honestly don’t know how the f**k I’ve done this, but one thing is for sure, I’ve got a s**t load more control than I ever thought possible!

I’ve sent my men back to the pack ready for the ball tomorrow, it’s an annual ball to help wolves find their mates. Each year a different pack organises the ball on a date announced by the elders and this year it just so happens to fall on our pack to organise it and on Beth’s birthday.

I want to make tomorrow as special as possible for my girl, including her finding out we are mates, and finally, after a lot of long conversations with Ashley, Jack and Cal I have a plan in place and Ashley is meeting me in town soon to help me get everything I need.

I’m going to arrive back home later tonight and hide out in my room so she doesn’t know I’m there, then I’ve decided to create a birthday treasure hunt for her spreading over the packhouse and grounds that will lead her to the biggest lake we have on the parklands, the lake we have spend a lot of time together at.

There she will find a picnic waiting for her and her mate but of course, for me to stay out of the way I need help, a lot of help setting everything up and for once I’ve never been more grateful for Ashley and his organising folder.

I pull up outside the shopping mall and he’s already waiting for me and Brooke and Cami have joined him. The moment I reach them I scoop Cami up and have her giggling in seconds. She’s Brooke and Cal’s daughter, almost 7 months old and cute as a button.

“I’ve missed your laugh miss Cami!” I’m rewarded with her toothy grin and as always that smile melts my heart.

“And what about us?” Ashley’s fake pout has both me and Brooke joining in with Cami’s laughing.

“I’ve missed you all to don’t worry even though I have seen you!”

“But still, who have you missed the most?” He presses out, I love this guy he and Jack may have got married last year but he’ll never change thank f**k!

“You of course beautiful!”

“I should think so too!” He shoots me a wink and we quickly head inside to make a start on my list, there’s a lot to get done in little time. Cal and Jack are back at the house checking through last minutes details for the ball and they’ve got Beth and Katie watching Levi, Willow and Bella to keep Beth busy!

3 hours later and everything is ticked off the list and Ashley and Brooke have assured me that they have everything covered at the house. We say our goodbyes as they head back home while I head off on my own, I have one more thing to arrange but this surprise no one knows anything about, this I can arrange myself plus it will keep me busy while I hideout until it is late enough for me to sneak in the house.

All day I’ve counted down the hours until I get to see Beth again, get to finally be her mate, I’ve not told anyone yet but I already love her and to think that it’s just going to get better has my pulse racing and my heart pounding, in less than 24 hours she will be mine!

Today has been crazy busy, everyone has been running around making sure everything is in place ready for tomorrow and me and Katie played babysitter to Levi, willow and Bella and those three are devils when they are together but I wouldn’t change a thing about them. Brooke took Cami with her as she’s teething and really clingy with Brooke at the moment.
