Sinclair POV

It’s been a month. My stomach is very swollen. It’s almost time to give birth. After I drained Julian’s bank account, I pulled all the statements. I gave them to the council and to the authorities in the human world. I sent it in as an anonymous tip.

I’m sure by now, he is in a world of trouble. It has kept his scent off of us for that short amount of time. I’m sure he will eventually figure out it was me. Until then, I need to give birth to my pups.

Adrian has been amazing. We didn’t have a great beginning, but it has certainly been a complete 180 degrees. He also is overly protective of me. It’s sweet, and I welcome the extra assistance. It’s getting harder to move around.

Raul has benched me. I am officially on maternity leave, even though I haven’t given birth yet. Adrian is getting more anxious and excited by the day. I would just like for my ankles not to look swollen.

The cravings, according to…well, everyone… have gotten wilder. Adrian said my bowl of olives with whipped cream and anchovies was the grossest craving yet. I shrugged and said it tasted delicious.

He chuckled and said he loved me anyway. The lovemaking is just as intense. I’m just too round now. Adrian doesn’t mind, though. He constantly has his hands possessively on my pup bump. He talks to our son and daughter every night, too. It’s incredibly sweet.

I get up to go to the shower. I feel like my body temperature is all over the place. Today, it’s in overheated mode, and I’m sweating. I turn on the shower and make the temperature lukewarm. I step inside and let all the sweat come off of me.

I hear the door open, and I already smell Adrian before he speaks. My senses are especially heightened now. I hear him stripping out of his jeans. I smell the mud and grime on them from where I’m standing.

It doesn’t take him long, though. He joins me in the shower. “How is my little sin and pups?”

“Overheated.”

He chuckled. “That explains the cold shower.”

“It’s lukewarm,” I corrected.

“If you say so,” he said as he rinsed the dirt off his body.

Once he was done, he grabbed a washcloth and started cleaning my back. He very sensually moved to my breasts, which made me moan. Then he moved to my belly.

“So sexy,” he whispered in my ear.

“I feel huge.”

“Little sin, you have no idea how beautiful you are. Any day now, you are going to make me a father. You don’t know what that means to me.”
