Adrian POV
I’m beside myself. We have been at this for the last few hours. Sinclair is now starting to feel the pressure, despite the epidural. Raul said that is because her body is getting ready to go into labor.
Aiden and Thalia have been supportive. They know this is a big deal for Sinclair and me. Aiden understands how big a deal this is for me specifically. He remembers our conversations from the past when Amber was still alive.
I used to go into his office to vent. I never understood why she didn’t want to have pups. It wasn’t until later that I found out the truth. During that time, though, I really had a deep-rooted desire to become a father. I wanted a big family like the way I grew up. I wanted the laughter and love from my own pups.
Now, Sinclair is giving me something I had lost sleep over so many times in the past, and she is going through a lot to make that happen. That is why, even though I’m beside myself, I refuse to leave her side. She is making a huge sacrifice for me, for us, for our future. It makes me love her that much more.
“Adrian, this hurts!” Sinclair whimpered.
“It’s almost time to give birth, baby. You’ve done so great.”
“How much longer?”
I didn’t know what to answer, but luckily, I didn’t have to because Raul walked in.
“Sinclair, I’m going to check you now. I suspect you are ready,” he said.
He came around, and I continued holding Sinclair’s hand. She was hurting and uncomfortable, but Raul smiled when he looked up. The nurse standing beside him waited for instructions.
“Prep for delivery,” he said. “Your beta is in labor now.”
“Finally,” she said, clearly ready for this to be over.
After an hour of pushing, our son was born. He is perfect. Sinclair and I are both crying. Then after twenty minutes, our daughter was born. Once she was cleaned and wrapped, the nurse handed her to me.
I held, almost afraid I would break her. Then she gave a toothless smile, and I saw gums and dimples. Sinclair is holding our son; he has the same smile and dimples. These two are going to be heartbreakers.
I kissed Sinclair and put my forehead to hers. “Thank you, little sin. This is the most precious gift you could have given me.”
I noticed she was crying as she held our son. “I finally have a family of my own. Nothing gets to ruin this for us.”

So many missing chapters and repetitions. A different story altogether from chapter 101...
