The nerve of this man. I thought he was my father but now I see he is the murderer of my parents and my uncle. I certainly did not win the family lottery. At least I have my grandparents, my mate and his family. I guess Jules and Rachel didn’t luck out in a mate or father either. That may be the only thing we have in common.

‘Darling, did you want to see Jules and Rachel? They are requesting to see you. You don’t have to, if you don’t want to see them.’

‘I will see them, but let’s make it quick.’

I make my way to Austin at the front. Harris has already been secured in the van and I see Elias waiting to say goodbye. “Luna, it was a pleasure seeing you again. I also wanted to congratulations on your pups.”

“Thank you, councilman. We are excited, as well,” I answer, “I understand Jules and Rachel want to speak to me.”

“Yes. Of course, I will be there with you recording everything that is said, in case it is needed.”

“Thank you,” I look over to Austin and reach for him, “Shall we then?”

“Let’s go, darling.”

As we walk to the entrance of the cells, we see the council guard emerge with Jules and Rachel. They didn’t look like the proud, pristine women I remember them being. Jules looked tired and her eyes looked defeated. Rachel eyes looked hollow and her long hair was dull. Both women looked pale and worn out. The moment they see me however, hatred pours out of their faces. I’ve never understood why they hated me so much. I was a victim in all of this and they could have helped me.

I approach them both with Austin beside me. “Jules, Rachel, long time no see.”

Rachel glares at me, “Rebel -“, she started, but Austin cut her off.

“My fated mate is the Luna of Blackstone. Address her as Luna Rebel or this conversation is over.”

Rachel curled her lips and I swear I saw steam leave her ears. “Lu-na Reb-el,” she spat out slowly, “You already have what you want. Why are you set on coming after us?”

“Rachel, are you even aware that your father, my uncle, murdered my mother and father. My father was your uncle and his brother. He murdered them because he wanted my mother. He said if he couldn’t have her, no one could. He did all this for revenge and you have been part of the vile and evil plan.”

She looked shocked and turned to her mother. “Did you know about this mother?”

“I knew he loved Sydney.” She said quietly.

“Yes, and both of you knew his name is Dale, not Harris. You both knew he was lying and did nothing. You both were complicit.” I began, “Rachel, you may not have understood when you were a little girl, but you still knew right from wrong when you got older. Neither one of you tried to make things right or help me. Instead, you helped Dale double down on mistreating me.”

“We are family, Luna Rebel. How can you throw us to the council?” Rachel said.

“Family?! We are family you say.” I start, “Funny, I remember you saying that you hoped Cullen would make you his Luna, so you can banish me from the pack. You also said I was the fat, unwanted, bastard child of the former beta. Now we are family? You really are something Rachel.”

Then I looked at Jules, “Do you have something to say as well? Because I remember you telling all the omegas not to befriend me or they would be fired. You called me unwanted and told me I was nothing better than a servant.”

Jules only looked at me and then quietly said, “What does it matter now? You clearly have a new life and we are now going to the council prison. Do you think I will give you any reaction? My daughter has her whole life ahead of her and because of your pettiness, she is now in this predicament.”

“That’s where you are wrong, Jules. You spoiled Rachel. You didn’t show her any morals and you sure as hell didn’t show her how to be kind. She treated everyone like they were beneath her. But then, I am not surprised, she learned it from you.” I said. I’ll be damned if I allow her to try to guilt trip me into feeling sorry for Rachel.

I couldn’t help it though, I had to ride up in my petty mobile and hang out with petty patty. “Rachel, do you know why Cullen was looking for a chosen mate?”

“He didn’t find his fated mate.” She said knowingly.

“No. It’s because he rejected his fated mate,” I say watching her eyes go wide, “I know this, because I was his fated mate. He rejected me and then I found my second chance mate in Austin, the day Cullen came to have dinner. Imagine that, I have had two fated mates, and you are going to the council prison. You want to know something else?” I ask.

“You’re lying. He wasn’t your fated mate. He would never be mated to a fat bitch like you.” She spat.

Austin growled, “Insult my mate one more time and your mother will be mourning your death.”

Rachel’s eyes went wide with fear. Clearly, she is seeing what accountability looks like for the first time.

“As I was saying Rachel,” I continued, “the reason Cullen through you, your mother and father in the prison cells, is because he wanted to act like my savior to try and get me back. He realized he shouldn’t have rejected me. He was going to use the three of you to try and win me back.”

“YOU ARE LYING! I DON’T BELIEVE YOU! HOW COULD ANYONE WANT TO BE WITH YOU!” She screamed.

I yawned and looked at Austin. “Babe, I’m tired. I’d like to go lay down. Come with me?”

In front of Jules and Rachel he looks at me with love and wraps his arms around my waist, “Anything for you, darling.”

I look at both Jules and Rachel, “Bye ladies. I’m sure the council will go easy on you…or not. Either way, I hope we never see each other again.”

I turned away from them. Rachel continues to scream and try to fight the council guard in going into the van. They are no longer my concern, so I started walking towards Elias. “Councilman, thank you for your help. I can’t tell you how much it means for me to know the truth.”

“It is my duty and honor to help you find the truth but also justice. With the recordings, we have the confession
