His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 14

**Rebel POV**

The thought of discussing sex with Austin fills me with a deep sense of mortification. It’s a subject I know little about, having never experienced it myself, and the omegas have been less than forthcoming with details. What does it even entail? What should I really expect? I can feel the heat rising in my cheeks, a burning sensation akin to molten lava coursing through me.

“Rebel, look at me.” Austin’s voice is gentle, coaxing me to lift my gaze. When our eyes meet, I see a mix of desire and perhaps a hint of amusement dancing in his gaze. “First, yes, the first time can be uncomfortable, but I promise to take my time with you. I want to hear you scream my name in pleasure.” My heart races at his words, a deep ache igniting within me at the promise held in his eyes. “Second, you’ll discover that you enjoy different things at different times, but trust me, rough will always be fun.” He smirks, and I can’t tell if he’s teasing or if there’s something deeper behind that playful glint.

“Rebel, stop overthinking this. He is our mate. We are made for each other, and whatever he gives us, we can handle. Just as he can handle whatever we give him.” Roxie’s voice rings in my mind, filled with encouragement. I know she’s right, but the fear still lingers. I’m so accustomed to rejection and feeling unwanted. The fact that this stunning man, sculpted by the moon goddess herself from the finest, most divine materials, desires me is almost overwhelming.

“Darling, I’m going to have so much fun being your professor in all things sex ed,” he teases, leaning in closer. “I intend for class to be in session tonight… for several hours.” His breath tickles my ear as he gently bites my earlobe, sending electric jolts through my body. A soft moan escapes my lips, and I can’t help but feel a rush of longing. “Goddess, I want to take you right now, but we’re home.” When he shifts me off his lap, a whimper slips out, my core aching for him even more.

Austin chuckles softly, “Don’t worry, my darling mate. I’ll ease your ache soon. I love how responsive your body is to me.” He steps out of the car and extends his hand, a warm invitation that sends my heart fluttering.

Just then, Lacy pulls in behind us, jumps out, and strolls over with her usual exuberance. “Okay, girlie, I’m sure Alpha here wants to whisk you away, but we need to grab all your stuff first. I’ve got the guards helping, but I’m pretty sure some of those pink bags you may want to carry in yourself.” She winks at me, and once again, I feel the heat rush to my cheeks.

I glance up at Austin, and his eyes darken with what I interpret as desire, a smirk playing on his lips. “I look forward to seeing what you brought home today, darling.”

In a moment of unexpected boldness, I decide to give him my best sassy look. “Only if you behave, Alpha.” With that, I turn to walk away, but not before catching a glimpse of his wide, country-boy grin that could light up the darkest night.

“YASSSS REBEL!!” Lacy claps her hands, laughter bubbling from her lips. “Show that big, bad Alpha the Luna you are, girl!” I can’t help but smile and laugh, lifting the pink bags to flaunt them at Austin. I hear a low growl escape him, and I wink before strutting away.

“THAT WAS GREAT REBEL! WE ARE GONNA DRIVE HIM WILD!” Roxie exclaims in my mind, her excitement infectious. “You think so, Roxie? This is all so new to me,” I reply, a hint of doubt creeping in. “YES REBS! EVEN CRONOS IS PANTING!” I laugh again, and Lacy raises an eyebrow at me, clearly intrigued.

“My wolf loved what I did out there. She said that Austin’s wolf is panting too,” I share with her, feeling a mix of pride and nervousness.

Lacy bursts into laughter again. “Yeah, he is! You are a total babe, Rebel. Flaunt it!” she encourages, her enthusiasm infectious.

Oh, boy. I hope I can handle the fallout from this later tonight. “I can’t wait! I want our mate,” Roxie declares, her eagerness palpable.

As I step into our room, I see the omegas busy unpacking my belongings and organizing them in the closet. I approach them, expressing my gratitude, but one of the girls, Natty, looks up at me with a warm smile. “Oh, Luna, it’s no trouble at all. We’re just happy that Alpha finally found you. Did you know he never touched this side of the closet? We would come in once a month to clean it, but he never gave up looking for you. He always knew you would have your place by his side.”

Tears prick at my eyes. He always intended to wait for his fated mate. For me. A crack opens in my chest, and a warm wave of love washes over me. He valued me even before he truly knew me.

We make our way to the dining room and take our seats. This time, Renz and Lacy join us at the table. Lacy excitedly recounts our day, sharing how I played the guitar and sang. I’m not used to being in the spotlight or receiving praise, but in the last two days, I’ve experienced more recognition than I ever have in my life. It feels… good.

Renz chimes in, “So Luna can cook, sing, play guitar, and you taught yourself everything you know?” He smirks playfully. “You know, Alpha can play too, but his singing voice is crap.”

I laugh, but I quickly come to Austin’s defense when I see him glaring at Renz. “I don’t mind if he can’t sing. I absolutely love his southern drawl when he speaks. That’s music to my ears.”

Austin growls softly, his voice low and possessive. “Is that right, darling?” A shiver runs down my spine as I whisper back, “That’s right, babe,” winking at him.

At that moment, Lacy interjects, “Renz, our Alpha is wrapped around our Luna’s little finger, don’t you think?” Renz bursts into laughter. “My dear mate, I have to agree. I don’t think I’ve ever seen our Alpha in such a whipped state.”

We continue our dinner, laughter and stories flowing freely, when suddenly, howls pierce the air. Austin and Renz leap to their feet, followed closely by Lacy and me. “What is it?” I ask, anxiety creeping in.

“Rogues at the eastern border. Get to safety, Rebel,” Austin commands, his expression turning serious as he starts to move.

“Oh, hell no. I’m coming with you,” I assert, my voice firm and unwavering, leaving no room for him to argue.
