Where is Liora? She said that Austin and Rebel were here, and she would call me back when she was done with them. I told her I wouldn’t make a move until we spoke. It’s been four hours. I have been waiting in the shadows of the tree line, waiting for her to come meet me, and yet nothing.

I even saw Austin, Rebel, one of the councilmen, and Reid leaving the building with guards. They were walking away to the restaurant district. I still see red and feel heartbreak after all these years. Reid needs to feel pain in his heart the same way I have. Now, I’m reduced to waiting in the shadows for someone who is ignoring me. I tried reaching her, but she hasn’t answered. By the time I saw everyone return from the restaurant district, I have now become suspicious. What has happened to Liora? Why hasn’t she returned my calls? Did something happen? I’m still waiting and I still have zero answers.

I try to find a place where I can sneak in, but there are guards everywhere. Sure, I could take them out, but my magic still isn’t where it was prior to fighting Rebel. I don’t know what happened, but after I lost my magic, it hasn’t regained full strength. With that in mind, I decided to leave and hope that Liora will contact me. I have a sneaking suspicion that something has happened, and I might be on my own now.

Austin POV

“YES! AUSTIN! GODDESS!” My little minx screams.

As soon as we got to the hotel room, I was barely holding on. I wanted my mate, and I wanted her now. I’ve taken her several times in the last couple of hours. If she hadn’t already been pregnant, she would be now. I still can’t get enough of her. Seeing her assertiveness with Liora. Knowing that bitch almost made me betray my mate. Seeing Rebel threaten her on my behalf. Claiming me with that bitch, yeah, you’re damn right I want to be buried inside my mate.
