“We were especially worried about you, Alpha.” Jane added.

Renz comes out from around the corner, “About damn time, Austin.” He says as he slaps his hand to Austin’s shoulder. “It’s good to have you both back.”

“It’s good to be back.” Austin replied.

Renz smirked and said, “Well, I’m especially happy you are back. You can get back to work being Alpha. I hate your job, it sucks, man.”

All of us laugh at the sarcasm behind Renz’ comments. “I’ll pick back up in a couple of hours, Renz. I want to see our boys.”

My heart melts. I was already planning to see them in a minute, but hearing Austin say it, not because he is afraid for them, but because he loves them and just wants to spend time with them, makes me want to give him as many pups as he wants.

We go upstairs and before heading to our room, we go to the nursery. Mary is sitting on the ground with the boys playing with them. They are growing and now there is nothing preventing Austin and I from watching them grow up in a happy and peaceful home.

I see Austin sit on the ground and start playing with the boys, and he tells me to sit in the rocking chair, since I’m pregnant. I look at the scene in front of me and realize, this is going to be our normal from here on out, and my chest swells with so much love that Austin feels it and looks at me. He smiles gently at me like he understands, and he probably does.

“Luna, I was wondering if I could speak to you about the extra nanny you wanted to hire.”

“Yes, of course.” I said, and Austin lifts Reid onto his lap while he listens in as well.

“My sister is looking for employment and is willing to leave her current pack. She knows I’m expecting and knows that I’m a nanny here. She used to be a schoolteacher and is great with children. She is 28 years old and unmated. I thought I would mention her, because I haven’t seen her in years. She said she could help with the boys while I’m on leave and even said she would help me with my pup.”

Well, I’m glad about one thing; I don’t have to search very far for a great applicant. Mary is wonderful and if her sister was a schoolteacher, then perhaps she could tutor the boys when they are school age.

“What’s her name, I would love to meet her?” I asked her.

“Sophia. Though I always call her Sophie.” Mary answered.

“Which pack is she in now?” Austin asked.

“She is in a small pack in the Western region. I forget the name though, Alpha.”

“Okay, why don’t we set up a video call, since she is a distance away.” He said.

“Thank you, Alpha and Luna. I will let her know you are interested in speaking with her tonight and I will set up the call.”

“If you want to call her now and take a break, go ahead. Austin and I would like to spend some time with the boys anyway.”

“Alright! I won’t be gone long.” She gets up excitedly.

As she leaves the room, Austin looks at me, “You know, she shouldn’t be sitting on the floor either.”

“Well, if Sophia is a good fit, she won’t need to anymore. We could bring her on now and let her get the hang of things, my love.”

After a few minutes, Mary comes back in. “Okay, does tomorrow at ten in the morning for you both?”
