Leon is pounding the ground; running as fast as he can. We are trying to run off the rage we feel right now. That bastard did a real number on his own daughter. How can any father do that to their own kid? She was a pup. She was fourteen. She was being sexually abused for four years.

I think of my sister Rory. I couldn’t imagine our father doing something like that to her. She is the apple of his eye. Leon pushes hard to get back to the pack house. He is jumping over falling trees and his head is low so he can go fast. I know he is ready to tear that fucker limb from limb. Hell, I’m ready. I have been ready. That other asshole, what’s his name? Armando? He will die too, if he gets in my way.

I don’t know how long we ran but the sun is setting when we get back to the pack house. I know that Thalia is here because her scent is still strong up the steps. I want to see her, but I need to talk to Reid first. I need to know what he did to help his pack

“What the fuck happened?”
