His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 30

**Austin POV**

“I need our scouts to infiltrate Ironclaw. Their mission is to identify the vulnerabilities within the pack and locate the dungeons. It’s crucial for me to know the timings of the guard shifts and the frequency of those changes. Additionally, we must ascertain if there’s anyone who could assist us in gaining access to those cells.” I state firmly, my voice steady with determination. “Once I have the logistics sorted out, we will execute our plan and extract them from Ironclaw.”

“Understood, Austin. I’ll dispatch two scouts to that area discreetly. They should return with intel in a few days,” Renz responds, his expression serious yet focused.

“I’ll prepare the warriors to mobilize at a moment’s notice. How many do you estimate we’ll need for the extraction, Alpha?” Jessup inquires, his brow furrowed with concern.

“Let’s wait and see what the logistics reveal. I’m thinking we should have around fifty warriors on standby. If we find we need more, I’ll inform you,” I reply, my mind racing with the possibilities of what lies ahead.

As I glance up, my eyes meet Rebel’s, and I’m taken aback to see tears streaming down her cheeks. “Darling, why are you crying?” I ask, my heart aching at the sight of her distress.

She gazes at me, then at the others in the room, her voice trembling slightly. “I’m just… overwhelmed. I’ve spent my entire life alone, with no one to care about what happens to me. You all barely know me, yet you’re willing to go to such lengths to help me. I’ve never felt… like I’ve been worth this much to anyone before.” Her gaze drops to the floor, a sense of vulnerability enveloping her.

This realization fuels my resolve to ensure her family pays for their transgressions. No one should have looked at this stunning woman and thought she didn’t deserve care and protection. They reduced her to a slave as a child, and even after treating her like nothing more than property, they still seek to belittle her.

I pull my mate closer, wrapping my arms around her, and gently lift her chin with my finger until her eyes meet mine. “Darling, you are worth everything to me. I would set the world ablaze to keep you safe. You are beautiful, kind, resilient, sassy, feisty, and so much more. I will protect every part of you with my life,” I assure her, my voice filled with conviction.

Lacy jumps in enthusiastically, “Same here, girlie!”

“I’m cosigning on that too, Luna!” Jane adds, her tone supportive.

Renz and Jessup nod in agreement, and I can’t help but smile as I watch my beautiful mate blush, overwhelmed by the affection and love being showered upon her. She deserves this, to feel cherished because she is indeed loved. What happened to her is not the norm, and I want her to understand that fully.

I can hardly contain my anticipation for weakening that bastard. This is one of my most brilliant schemes yet. Once I have Rebel, I will bring her to ecstasy after ecstasy. Austin will feel the sting of betrayal. Those pangs will sap his strength, leaving him vulnerable. His only choice will be to sever the bond with Rebel, and even then, he’ll have to endure the agony of rejection. If it’s anything like what I experienced, he won’t have the fortitude to fight back. That will be the opportune moment for my warriors to strike, and we will seize his pack and his wealth.

“Beta Max, how many warriors do we have on standby for when the plan is set in motion?” I mind-link him, my voice laced with urgency.

“We have up to one hundred warriors ready to deploy at a moment’s notice,” my beta responds, his tone steady and reassuring.

“Good. Very good,” I reply, closing the link with a sense of satisfaction.

Rubbing my hands together, I let out a low chuckle. Soon, very soon, everything will be mine.
