His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 343

Chapter 343

Sin POV

The last few weeks have been crazy, Canary and have made ourselves at home here at Blackstone. I’ve never felt more comfortable being somewhere before. It’s different here from the ‘human world’ as everyone here calls it. I feel like I actually belong, and for someone who was bounced around until I was eighteen, it’s a petty big deal for me.

Canary likes it here too. While we are both on edge about next week’s full moon, we are exci to become official members of this pack. I know’s not a perfect system. But everyone gets along for the most part and Thalia is here too, since she is the Luna, we both feel confident that she will help bring balance,

“Sin!” Canary called, behind her is isaiah, carrying two lawns chairs, Canary is holding a bottle of while and two wines glasses.

“Yeah?” I call back as I return to the table with the plans. We are organizing teams to work in different sections.

“Look what I brought!” She said almost singing and with a big smile on her face.

“Why?” I asked sarcastically.

“Yeah. Why?” Isaiah asked.

Canary has a mischievous look in her eyes, “I want a drink while watching all these gorgeous men work.”

I burst out laughing and give her a hug. “I freaking love you, girl. You always seize the moment,”

Isaiah scowls, “You both are going to sit and watch us work? Your shamelessness knows no bounds.”

Canary sighs and smiles, “I’ll have the most fun looking at you Isaiah.”

I chimed in, “We won’t just be drinking and ogling, Isaiah.”

“Oh, yeah? And what exactly will you both be doing, since you are not helping?”

I put a hand to my chest and feign offense. “Isaiah, don’t you know, we will be here, at the table…supervising.” I ended with a smirk and a wink.

“Yass! Tell him Sin!” Canary said. Then she sees the men coming up and getting ready to be directed. “Isaiah, move, you are ruining the view

The warriors start chuckling and shaking their heads, but Canary and I start whistling and cat- calling them. If men can cat-call women why can’t we cat-call men?

Canary starts teasing all the men, “If you want to work shirtless, boys, we don’t mind.

Especially you, Isaiah.”

One of the warriors speaks up, “What do we get in return?”

I smiled, “Our admiration.”

He looks at me, “Maybe I would like to have dinner with both of you ladies.”

Isaiah get visibly frustrated. “Mark, stop hitting on them. Get to work.”

Mark looks at us and winks before jogging over to get started on work. Canary grabs hand and sits in the lawn chairs. She pours us both a glass of wine and then we sit bac enjoy the show.

“You never flirt.” Canary said. “I’m glad you did today. Are your nerves starting to calm down?”

“No. I figured I would just follow your lead and mess with the guys.” I said. “Isaiah kept looking at you.”

“I don’t blame him, I’m gorgeous.” She said with a smirk, “But, honestly, he was checking you out too.”

“I doubt that.” No one ever checks me out. I’m nerdy looking with glasses and freckles. My body is not curvy like Canary’s or Thalia’s. I mean, I don’t think I’m ugly, but I’m not a knock out like them.

“I don’t. What do you think of Isaiah? He has a twin too! Adrian. They are identical. Did you see the picture in the dining hall?”

“No. I haven’t noticed.”

“To think, there are two of them walking around looking like a spicy snack. Yum!” Canary said.

I see Isaiah look back and his cheeks reddened. The warriors are all chuckling. “I think they all heard you, Canary.”

“Yeah, we did.” Isaiah called out. “Werewolf hearing.”

“Don’t mind us then, boys…we are enjoying the view.” Canary said as she raised her glass and I just laugh.

“After we turn, what are you going to tell your husband?”

“I’m not worried about him.” She said and turned her face to look away.

She always does that. Something is always going on over there, but she never wants to talk about it. I have asked her about it, and she always shrugs it off and changes the subject. Whenever it’s mentioned, some of the light in her eyes goes out. It saddens me, but I never know what to say to help her open up or confide in me.
