His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 348

Chapter 348

Alden POV

Sin then pulls Canary, “Come on, Kaia. We have to go. This is the private ceremony that Thalia said she couldn’t speak about. Let’s go.”

“Can’t we stay? Please!?” Canary said looking at me with big doe eyes.

I chuckled, “If I could, I would, but it’s not up to me. This ceremony must be private, and its secrets must be kept.”

Canary just pouts. “Total waste of my pouty and pleading face moves.” She said.

Reid laughed and Adrian snickered. “Ladies, you have to respect the secrecy of this particular ceremony. If you don’t, it will be chaos and destruction to the pack. You want to be here, right?” Reid asked.

Sin jumped in, “I definitely do.” She smiled.

My eyebrow went up. This is the first time I have seen her really excited about turning. Maybe her reservations have finally calmed down. “Well, next week is the week to make it happen. We look forward to welcoming you both officially as pack members.” I said.

After a couple more minutes of conversation and Canary’s additional failed attempts to try and convince me to let them participate, they leave.

Reid and Adrian chuckle as they walk out. They act like two teenage girls getting ready for their next class in a hurry. I shake my head and look at my brothers. “Would you believe me if I told you that they always act that way? I’m going to have my hands full with those two when they turn.”

Adrian laughed, “Have you signed them up for school after they turn? They would probably fit right in.”

“No kidding. I’ve never seen two humans more hyped about becoming wolves in my life. Don’t get me wrong; being a wolf is kickass, but most humans run in fear.” Reid said.

“Those two are not normal humans. They are hitmen like Thalia.” I said.

Reid looks at me shocked. “No fucking way. Those two?”

Adrian looks lost. “Hitmen? Thalia is a hitman?”

“Was. She’s now my Luna.” I said. Then I filled them both in on everything. Adrian is shocked about Thalia’s past and was growling in some parts. Reid was astonished that Canary and Sin are pretty badass in their own right.

After a while Isaiah also joined in, complaining about Canary and Sin. Which made all of us laugh. Clearly, those two have frustrated the hell out of him.

“Bro, maybe they have a crush on you.” Adrian said.

“Crush, hell. Kaia and Sinclair are a pain in myass.” He huffed.

“Kaia and Sinclair?” Adrian said.

I speak up, “Yeah, Kaia’s codename is Canary and Sinclair’s codename is Sin, short for her actual name.”

“Oh.” Adrian said quietly. I don’t know what that is about, but I brush it off, because it’s time to start the ceremony.

I mind link all warriors to come to the training facility and all ranked members need to report as well. Which earned a reply from my mother saying to watch my tone. I chuckled and waited as everyone started filing in.

After a little bit I see Mom, Dad and Thalia all walking down the middle and onto the stage. I smile at her and take her hand to join me. My folks are standing behind me, and I make a small speech to the warriors.

“Thank you everyone for joining us today. As you know, our pack finally has an official Luna.” I said smiling. “Now that she is an official ranked member of Blackstone, we are able to further solidify her position by having her take the blood pact. Does everyone agree?”

“Yes, Alpha!”

I turn to Thalia, and begin, “Do you Thalia, Luna of Blackstone, swear to the Moon Goddess to keep the knowledge of the abilities she grants you in secrecy, only sharing with the other warriors within your pack and with the fighting ranked members within your pack?”

“I do.” She says.

I smile at her and cut my hand, and she sips the blood before licking my palm. My wound heals and as soon as she steps away, her entire body stiffens and her head snaps back as her eyes look straight up at the ceiling. She looks almost suspended from the ground.

“Thalia!” I say, wanting to grab her, but my dad holds me back.

“Let this happen son. The Moon Goddess won’t hurt her. You know that.” He said.

Still, she almost looks like she is going to fly out of the room through the ceiling. After a couple of minutes, that feels like an eternity, she is slowly lowered to the ground. I see her swaying a little bit and her eyes focus on me. She has the widest smile I have ever seen and she looks completely breathtaking.

I go up to her and wrap my arms around her. But she gently breaks the hug and tells me to quietly give her a second.
