Rebel POV
Isaiah asked me to help with setting up a quick Alpha and Luna Ceremony. I love that he asked me. I have done the same with Aiden and Reid, as well as the Luna ceremonies for Navy and Thalia. Of course, I am going to do it for Isaiah and Kaia.
Three of my four sons are alphas, each with their own packs and Lunas. I am one proud mama. My fourth son and my daughter are both betas. I have no shortage of successful kids. I can’t wait to see how all of my grandpups turn out.
Rosario and Teagan are the two most interesting of them all. Mainly because they are hybrids and could shift and speak the moment they were born. I am going to love training with them later.
Kaia is determined to help decorate for Isaiah’s ceremony, but I have forbidden her to decorate for her own.
“Kaia, after you help me set up here, Thalia is taking you and Sinclair for your gowns. Aric will accompany you both,” I said, leaving no room for argument.
“Why Aric?” she asked.
“Dear girl, you must learn that the men who accompany you are the Sherpa’s. They will carry your bags and protect you,” I said with a smirk.
Kaia laughed, and Thalia came up to us to help. “Did Dad ever play Sherpa for you, Mom?”
“Several times. After all, he always says he’ll do anything for me. Carrying shopping bags is included.”
Both Kaia and Thalia laughed because I did not realize that Austin was listening from the other end of the room. He came up behind me and started squeezing my waist, tickling me. “Anything for you darlin’, always.”
Throughout our bond, he has always meant that too. It always makes my heart melt.
“Can I help you, ladies, with anything?” He asked in his signature southern drawl.
“We got it, Dad,” Thalia said.
“We sure do, Pops,” Kaia added.
He chuckled, “Alright then. I’m going to set up the lights that you asked me for, darlin’.”
I kissed him gently, “Thank you, my love.”
Kaia and Thalia looked at me with grins. Kaia then asked, “Do you know of any fated mates, where the bond fades over time? Like the mates don’t love each other anymore?”
“I’ve never heard of it, but it doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.”
Thalia then asked, “Mom, you’ve never really told us your love story with Dad before. Only bits and pieces.”
“Yeah! We want to know, Mama.” Kaia added.
“Why not?” I asked.
“It’s not that she doesn’t want to; she literally can’t. Something is blocking her. I tried reading her thoughts, and I know what sparked whatever she did, but then after that, the thoughts are distorted. Nyx said she has a curse on her. Without knowing who or why, I’m not sure there is anything that anyone could do.”
Sinclair looks confused. “How does someone become cursed?”
Thalia shrugged, “I’m not sure. I want to talk to Aiden. He might have some ideas.”
“Why not talk to Rebel again? Remember there was a witch that tried to kidnap her and Austin. Maybe she might know where to start looking.” I suggested.
Thalia smiled, “I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. I will ask her when we get back. Now we better pick out our dresses. We need to get back before tonight’s ceremony.”
We made our purchases and got exactly what we needed. My blue gown has a lace corset, a satin skirt, and a slit that runs clear up to my hip. I am pairing it with silver shoes that I can use for tomorrow’s ceremony too.
Thalia found her red dress, completely backless, with plunging front cleavage. The skirt is layered and trails to the floor. She is going to drive Aiden insane.
Sinclair found her green dress. It is off-the-shoulder with a draped neckline, has ruching at the waist, and features a thigh-high slit. She is going to look so beautiful. I never get to see her dress up. I think this will be the first time.
After our purchases, we head back to the pack. It’s time to get ready and watch my man officially become the alpha of Ironclaw.
