Thalia POV
Kaia and I let out a sigh of relief when Aiden called to say they were with Sinclair. I’m giving Sinclair a piece of my sisterly mind when she gets back. She is way too smart to have acted so impulsively. I can’t believe she thinks we were using her. She doesn’t understand we are her family, or she can’t believe it. Either way, when she gets back, I’m holding an intervention.
“Are you guys coming back today?” I asked.
Aiden chuckled. “Miss me?”
I blushed. He always does that to me. Catches me off guard and makes me trip over my words. “A little.”
“Only a little? I guess I’m staying away until you fully miss me.”
I narrowed my eyes as if he could see me. “Fine. Isaiah is here. He can man the pack while you are gone.”
He growled low. “I’m putting you over my knee when I get home, Mojito.”
“Promises, promises,” I chuckled. “So, are you guys coming home?”
“Not yet. Sinclair wasn’t awake. She lost a lot of blood from the gunshot wound. Kaia’s guy, Gene, donated blood. They are the same blood type, thankfully.”
“How is Adrian doing?”
“Aside from being completely stupid over Sinclair, he’s fine,” Aiden said with a low laugh.
I couldn’t help but laugh, too. “Good. I am glad to see that change in him.”
Aiden said he was going to make a couple of more calls and then he was going to check on Sinclair. “Call me back soon, guapo.”
He growled playfully. “I knew you missed me.”
I chuckled and hung up the phone. As soon as I hung up, I went to check on our pups. My sons have grown enough where they are grabbing for things and floating away with them. It’s exhausting.
Rosario and Teagan have started walking, and they are still wobbly. They still shift to talk to Aiden and me. Their conversations are mainly to tell on their brothers when they are floating around the room. Aiden finds it hilarious. I find it nerve-wracking.
When I go to the boys' room, they are feeding with the nannies, so I leave them to check on the girls. When I get to them, they are napping. I can’t believe I’m a mother of four. What am I even saying? Eventually, I will be a mother of nine!
I suddenly feel a pack link snap into place within the pack bond. I reach out and confirm Sinclair is back and has accepted Aiden as her alpha again. I smiled because it means she is awake.
As soon as the bond is back in place, I’m suspended in the air.
“Thalia, my chosen one.”
“Moon Goddess?”
“Yes, my dear. Sinclair must come back. She must enter the blood pact. You will need her. She will help you tip the scales. There isn’t much time left before the war. Bring her back quickly and complete the blood pact."
“She is injured and in the hospital.”
“She is in danger there. She must leave with Aiden and Adrian. They will protect her.”
I’m suddenly back in the girl’s room, and I’m lying on the floor. Sinclair is going to help me tip the scales. That means her gifts when she completes the blood pact are going to be significant.
I run back to my room and call Aiden. As soon as he answers, he is teasing. “Miss me that much?”
“Aiden,” I said, breathing hard. “Sinclair is in danger. You and Adrian need to bring her back. She needs to complete the blood pact.”
“Danger? What kind of danger?” he asked.
“I don’t know. The Moon Goddess told me that Sinclair helps me tip the scales, but she needs to come back and complete the blood pact. She said there isn’t much time left.”
“Fuck. She is too weak, still. Let me go back to the room and talk to them,” he said and hung up.
What gift is the Moon Goddess going to give Sinclair? How is that going to help tip the scales? She’s pregnant, and she’s in danger. Are Ronan and Candy still lurking in the town?
