“Have you been able to figure it out?” I asked.

“Not yet, Alpha. The problem is the encryption codex is on hyper speed. The structural codices are changing at a rate that no one can keep up with. Honestly, whoever designed it is brilliant.”

“Her name is Sinclair Cross.”

“Her? Now I’m intrigued.”

“So am I, Angelo. I am trying to recruit her. It’ll be more of a…contract basis, if I can secure her.”

Angelo starts typing at rapid speed. “I’m trying to pull information on her, but there is literally nothing coming up. Are you sure Sinclair Cross is her real name?”

“Yes,” I said, looking over his shoulder.

“She must know how to wipe her information from classified systems. This is special training, Alpha.”

“So you can’t locate her?”

“No one can locate a person who doesn’t want to be found.”

“Ronan was able to do it,” I said.

“He was able to locate her due to a silent trigger that caused a breach, but I doubt he knew who he was locating,” Angelo countered.

“He fought her…twice.”

Angelo stopped and looked at me. “You said she is an omega? She fought a hunter…twice…and is still alive?”

“You understand why I want to recruit her now.”

“Alpha, I think you are in over your head. This woman you are describing has had special training. The woman you described cannot possibly be this lethal and not have special training. Do you know anything about her background?”

“You think you might be able to locate her, don’t you?”

Angelo sighed. “I’m not sure, honestly. The more I know, the more I can dig.”

I grabbed my phone and dialed Candy. She answered the phone, and she was breathing hard.

“What?” she snapped.

“Candy, it’s Julian.”

“Sir.”

“I need you to meet my tech. His name is Angelo. I want you to fill him in with everything you know about Sinclair.”

She scoffed. “Why not ask my brother or father?”

“You have more intel than they do, Candy. You fought her. You found her once already. You even bypassed the security measures at Blackstone. Get here and talk to Angelo.”

“I’ll be there tomorrow. I’m busy right now.”
