Sinclair POV
I pulled into a cheap motel. I booked a room and brought my things inside. I am making myself look especially pathetic by choosing a place like this. Vic and Nate must still be following me. I know they are reporting my movements to Julian.
When I got into my room, I dropped my things, took a shower, put on a T-shirt, and started dialing Adrian from the motel room phone. The remote control is for Julian’s, but I am fine calling Adrian for now.
Two rings and Adrian picks up. “Adrian Willis,” he said.
“My, my, my…what a sexy way to answer the phone, mate,” I said with a grin he couldn’t see.
“Little Sin. I’ve been anxious as hell waiting for you to call. Are you okay?” He asked.
“I’m fine. I’m in a cheap motel. Julian’s men already approached me,” I said.
“WHAT!?”
“Relax, I was in a diner; they saw me alone. Julian is revealing his hand. He had those two follow me to persuade me to join Julian’s pack,” I said.
He growled low on the phone. “I want to tear them apart!”
“Calm yourself, Adrian. They were not overbearing. They saw me like a wounded animal. I put on an act as if I were depressed. They were definitely watching at Blackstone. They knew I rejected the pack and you. There may be more there, and I suggest you locate and eliminate them.”
I could hear Aiden in the background. “We are already looking, Sin. You need to be careful.”
“Understood, Aiden.”
“Hey, I’m going to talk to my girl in private now, brother. I’ll talk to you later.”
I heard Aiden chuckle. “Go on, bro.”
I heard the office door close, and then I asked, “Did you see my gift?”
I bit my bottom lip. I really hope he liked it. I really felt embarrassed.
“Damn right, I did,” he said with an approving growl. “That shirt is officially my favorite now.”
I laughed. “So, you liked it?”
“Liked it? I loved it. I’m buying a photo album. You can fill it with pictures like that anytime you want, little sin. I loved the dedications and letter, too.”
I smiled widely and felt relieved. “That could be fun. But what if I want an album of you?” I asked teasingly.
“I’m not the one going anywhere; you can personally inspect me whenever you want, little sinful vixen.”
“Careful, you might have me believing you are touching yourself while looking at my photos."
"Three times and counting."
I gasped audibly, and he chuckled. “You leave me something like that, and I’m already missing you. Did you expect anything less?”
“I just didn’t think you would like it that much,” I said, and for some inexplicable reason, I’m blushing alone in this motel room, by myself.
“I love feeling your body much more than me handling it myself, little sin,” he said with a chuckle.
I felt myself getting heated, so I decided to change the subject. “I’m glad you liked it, babe. We can fill up that photo album later. You better keep it under lock and key, though.”
