Sinclair POV
After breakfast, Angelo and I went back to the lab. “Thanks for standing up for me,” Angelo said.
“You need to learn to stand up for yourself, Angelo. I will help you.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. I need some help at the other server areas today. I am going to work on the bank account information for Julian first,” I said, smirking.
“You mean creating the information,” he chuckled.
“Pretty much. Alpha Aiden will want to speak to you before letting you join Blackstone,” I said quietly.
“Okay. Should I be nervous?”
“No. He will know whether you are telling the truth. So just tell him the truth.”
“That won’t be a problem.”
“Good. Now, I need to implant some software with a timed release in the other two server areas. I need a reason to get in.”
“I can handle that part,” Angelo said.
“Thank you. Also, I have another item I’m working on, and it will be initiated in two weeks.”
“Okay, need-to-know basis or something?” he asked.
“Until I finalize the layout, yeah.”
“Okay. In the meantime, replace the GPS module in those trackers. They are not catching a good signal. I have plans for those. Make sure the communication modem is in stealth mode. Also, add an accelerometer to those; it will be helpful in the future.”
“Are you planning on giving this pack leverage or something?”
I chuckled. “No. That will be for us later.”
He shrugged his shoulders. “Okay.”
After he walked away, I opened my laptop and started updating the virus information to reach other devices connected offsite from the pack. After that was finished, I deployed the virus to the main server room and set a delayed release for the day after I leave. I’m going to convince Julian to let Angelo leave with me that day to meet some contacts for future collaborations. That way Angelo thinks he will have backup help.
Once I completed those tasks, I started working on setting up Condor. I am going to return a portion of the money to Julian. Not enough to cause damage, but enough to keep his pack afloat. I see the constant tension in his eyes. While I don’t give a fuck about him, I know this will get him to trust me.
I compile the information and then put it in a folder. It’s time to start my phased plan. I put my laptop in my bag. I have the gaming controller in the mesh, and it’s timed to record in fifteen minutes.
“Angelo, tell Julian I'm on my way to his office to discuss Condor.”
“Sure thing.”
I nodded and walked out of the lab. As I was walking towards Julian’s office, I saw the two warriors standing post at the entrance. They look beat up. Oh, well. They saw me and looked at me with pure hatred. I couldn’t care less, though.
I knocked on Julian’s door, and once he said to come in, I entered his office. Standing there was Ronan. I rolled my eyes. “Should I come back later?”
