As sexy as it is to watch my mate take charge, it’s even sexier when she acknowledges and backs my authority in front of everyone. I’m sure there will be times we disagree and I’m always open to hearing what my mate thinks and her opinions, but that display of love and respect for me as her mate AND Alpha made me want to take her to our room and pleasure her for hours. Soon I will be too, but first, I need to get everyone up to speed. Renz knows everything from the first meeting but not the latest revelations, but Jessup, Lacy and Jane are not informed.

The moment I mentioned the training and heard them snarling, I could feel the emotions of gratitude from my mate. I want her to know she is loved, respected and admired. Not only by me, but by her ranked members and I’m sure the pack. Ceraline was a delusional bitch and the only one I know that wasn’t on board, because she wanted the Luna position and the power that it yielded. I will deal with her in the morning. I ask Rebel to start explaining everything about her past and then once she was done talking about it, she started answering questions. I see the anger coming from everyone from the knowledge of what they have just learned about Rebel’s past.

“As far as your questions,” She starts, “I thought him breaking my bones was part of training. I was 13 when he broke my leg the first time. I had to set it myself later in the evening after I was done in the kitchen.”

My mate sighed, “No, like Austin said, today is the first time in my life I have ever been in a hospital or met with a doctor. Dr. Hadley counted 23 breaks in all, but two, I assume from the first two breaks, need to be set.”

“Son of a bitch!” Jessup hissed. “When will that happen Luna?”

“Dr. Hadley wants me to gain my strength and nutrition in my diet first. She wants to see me age Luna Ceremony. Then she will check my lab work and if it all looks good, then we will schedule the two breaks properly.” Rebel replies.

I think about that and she’s right, “Maybe I need to ask the doctor about it, but if I had to guess darling, the isolation, abuse, malnutrition, perhaps a combination thereof, may have suppressed some of your natural abilities.”

Jane chimes in, “That would make sense Luna. Like you mentioned earlier, you have been feeling better since you got here, right? What I want to know, is whether or not your father knew you were a true Alpha and if he did, why did he suppress you?”

I take a moment to contemplate what Jane is saying. Could that be the reason my mate was mistreated all these years? To hide the fact that she is a true Alpha? Is that why he weakened her? If so, why?

All of these questions make me resolved that I have to find a way to retrieve her family and bring them here for answers. He’s in the dungeon cells at Ironclaw.
