Sinclair POV

Adrian and Jonah took their marching orders from Thalia. Rory and I, of course, followed our mates. Jonah and Adrian thought it would be best for the two of them to divide and conquer on the coverage. So Rory and Jonah handled the Northern and Western borders, while Adrian and I handled the Eastern and Southern borders.

We spent the rest of the day lining up patrols and putting a schedule in place for the two waves. Both waves are working in six-hour intervals. Adrian and Jonah decided that would be best so the warriors didn’t suffer from fatigue.

When a shift ends, they don’t go far, but get rest nearby. Then we switch again. It’s working well, and it is now the following day. The warriors aren't complaining of fatigue yet, so we feel pretty confident we have a good system in place.

‘Beta Adrian and Sinclair, Renz and Lacey are at the Northern gate,’ one of the warriors linked us.

The warriors are alerting us since we're next in command, but they also told us they alerted Jonah and Rory.

‘Thalia, Renz and Lacey are here. You may want to let Reid and Navy know,’ I said through the link.

‘Thank you, Sin. I am reaching out now.’

‘Dad, Mom, Renz and Lacey are here.’

‘We are coming!’ Dad said, with a hint of excitement in his voice. He has told me before that he and Renz grew up together. I guess they are here to help fight as well.

When we get there, the couple greets us, and we hug them. We are smiling, and then Dad comes up and hugs Renz and Lacey. Mom follows suit, hugging them both.

“You know we can’t miss out on the action,” Renz said with a smirk.

Dad chuckled. “I need my right-hand man here.”

Reid and Navy appear, and Renz hugs Navy first. Clearly, she is a Daddy’s girl. I haven’t really gotten to see much of their interactions. It is heartwarming, though.

“What are you guys doing here?” Navy asked.

“We are here to help, Navy,” Lacey said.

“It’s good to have extra hands,” Mom said to Lacey.
