Chapter 77
Before the guards led me out completely, I hear Austin’s voice, “Attention everyone!” He boomed from the middle of the pack. His voice carrying to the other side of the pack. “I’m informing everyone now, Ceraline Jacobs is no longer a member of Blackstone Pack. She committed an act of treason against the pack, your Luna and your Alpha by consorting with Alpha Cullen of Ironclaw. Her attempt, if successful, would have been to remove your Luna and cause war between the packs, which directly affects each and every one of you. The only reason she is being banished instead of being executed, is to honor my promise to her father and the previous late beta of this pack. However, she will never again be let into this pack. She has been banished and will live out the rest of her days as a rogue.” He said, ending his announcement.
My head is hanging, and tears are rolling down my face. I hear gasps and growls coming all around me. I don’t have the courage to look at my former pack. I never thought about what helping Alpha Cullen would do to everyone else in the pack. I only wanted to be Luna, but I would have lost pack members for my own ambiti
I hear the footsteps of Austin coming towards me once again. As he stands in front of me, he grabs me h by chin, “Look at everyone you betrayed for greed and power, Ceraline.” He said venomously as he forced look around me, “these people, ranked, unranked and low ranked from your former alpha to the lowest of th Omegas, are who you betrayed with your selfishness. You wanted to be Luna in exchange for their lives. You wanted to have power by betraying them. That is why the Moon Goddess didn’t pair us together. You don’t understand what it means to be a Luna or to lead a pack beside your Alpha. Remember these words while you live the rest of your life in your shame.” He says as he tells the guards to take me off the pack lands.
I see angry faces all around me and the words of Austin sink into my bones. He is right. I was not fit to be Luna. I let my desire for power get the best of me. Before the guards start to move, I fall to my knees and call out, “Alpha Austin! You are right. I’m so sorry. I never thought of my actions all the way through and how it would affect the pack. I accept the banishment, but before I am removed, please allow me to apologize to Luna Rebel. Please allow me this last request.” I say quietly and respectfully.
Just then, I see Luna approach, “Luna Rebel! I’m sorry. I’m so very sorry. I didn’t realize how ma hurting. I know that now. I’m ashamed of myself and I know I deserve banishmen I will go wi guards, but please forgive me for my blind ambition and for putting you in danger. I swear I w my life trying to be better, no matter where life takes me.” I plead with her, more tears rolli

Luna holds Alpha’s arm and looks at me. I see her eyes soften a little bit, “Ceraline, I never with you. You always sought me ought. Once you leave here, you will not be even as much as the topic of any jokes. Being a beta’s daughter puts you at a higher standard than others. You could hav instead, you looked at everyone like they were beneath you. I heard you said that the downgrading you by pairing you with Michael, simplfy because he was an omega. Wha you failed to realize, was how much he loved you. He bravely approached his leadership team to ask for your release and you broke his heart. So, my forgiveness is the least of your concern Ceraline. You broke the trust of your Alpha, Luna, pack and most importantly, your mate. I hope you can live with that shame. If you are ever granted the Moon Goddess‘ favor again, I hope most sincerely, that you don’t waste it again for blind ambition.” She finishes gently but with conviction. She grabs Alpha Austin’s hand and walks away from me.
