I Chose Me Over My Marriage novel Chapter 103

Miles's eyes were dark, and under the dim lighting, they looked like an endless abyss, ready to pull anyone in.

The next second, he pressed her head firmly against his chest.

He rested his chin on the top of her head, leaning into her as if seeking comfort.

Just as a strange, unfamiliar feeling began to bloom in Lyra's chest, he suddenly let go and took a step back.

Before she could even process what had happened, he muttered something.

"I'm such an idiot, getting the two of you mixed up."

Lyra froze.

So... his strange behavior was just because he mistook her for someone else.

Knowing that, she felt a wave of relief wash over her.

A soft smile touched her lips.

"Miles, you really drank way too much."

Stepping forward, she wrapped an arm around him and helped him up the stairs.

Because of that, she completely missed the heavy, deeply buried emotion in his eyes as he looked at her.

Lyra managed to maneuver him into his room. Just as she was about to help him onto the bed, he mumbled something.

"Thirsty."

Sighing in defeat, she guided him to the sofa first, poured a glass of water, and held it out to him.

When he made no move to take it, she let out another sigh and gently guided the glass to his lips herself.

He really was wasted.

Remembering what he had said downstairs, Lyra sat down next to him.

"Miles, do you have feelings for someone? Is it that girl from the Chambers family?"

She was genuinely curious. She didn't have any ulterior motives; she just wanted to know what kind of girl caught his eye.

Suddenly, he turned to look at her, his expression dead serious.

"Do you still have feelings for Maxwell?"
