"It's fine, just pretend everything is exactly how it used to be. We're going to be seeing a lot of each other, and you can't be on edge forever. If you're uncomfortable, I'm uncomfortable."
Hearing this, Courtney let out a breath, and her tense posture gradually relaxed.
"Alright, I'll just get straight to the point."
Lyra paused for a moment before continuing.
"There's a design competition next month, and I want you to enter."
"Huh?" Courtney's eyes widened in shock, and she pointed a finger at herself. "Who? Me?"
When Lyra nodded in confirmation, a storm of emotions crossed Courtney's face.
There was surprise, conflict, but overwhelmingly, there was fear.
"But there are so many experienced people in the company. I don't think I'm qualified."
"Don't be afraid," Lyra smiled gently. "You have to believe in yourself."
She leaned slightly closer to Courtney.
"I've already had Quinn compile all the necessary information you'll need for this competition. Just look it over when you get back to your desk."
"VP Lennox, I still don't think I can do this. I'm afraid I'll reflect poorly on the company."
Courtney nervously pinched the hem of her shirt, lowering her head, too intimidated to meet Lyra's gaze.
Seeing this, Lyra reached out and patted her on the shoulder.
