Her instincts told her that if this were a simple ransom grab, the kidnapper would have already contacted the Lennox family. They wouldn't have waited this long, nor would they have dragged Cecilia into the crossfire.

"Since you know who I am, let's level the playing field. Give me your name."

She needed to know exactly what this phantom was after.

The man sneered. "You're exceptionally sharp, yet profoundly naïve. I won't divulge the details of our business, but I will grant you one piece of the puzzle: I am his biological father."
