When Lyra Lennox returned to the hotel, Courtney Miller had already packed her suitcase and was ready to leave.
Seeing her pale face, Courtney asked with concern, "VP Lennox, are you alright?"
Lyra smiled and shook her head. "I'm fine, don't worry. It's getting late, and you need to catch your flight. Don't stress about me."
"Alright. When are you planning to head back?"
"I'll be staying for another two or three days. There are a few things I need to handle here. You don't need to rush once you get back, either. The semifinals are still a while away, so you have plenty of time to prepare. We'll work side by side and push each other forward. Don't worry, we're going to succeed."
After speaking, Lyra gently patted her shoulder.
"Got it! I'll give it my all. I definitely won't let you down."
Seeing the confidence finally return to Courtney's face, Lyra breathed a sigh of relief.
"Go on, it's getting late. You don't want to miss your flight."
Courtney pouted playfully. "No way! I'm heading out now. Call me anytime if you need anything."
Lyra nodded with a smile, watching Courtney leave in high spirits.
Back in her room, Lyra freshened up before lying down on the bed. She took out her phone, found her chat with Miles Lennox, and hesitated for a long time, unsure if she should message him.
For the past month, she hadn't heard a word from Miles, nor had she reached out to him.
Perhaps there was still a hurdle in her heart that she hadn't yet overcome.
But she didn't know.
On the other side of the screen, Miles stared at the chat interface, his eyes full of conflict as he watched the "typing..." indicator. He couldn't relax.
Yet, at the same time, he was comforting himself.
Soon.
It wouldn't be long before he could see Lyra again.
