Tears welled in Sophie’s eyes as she looked up at Lena Morgan, who stood frozen in shock.

“Lena, why did you trip me?”

“Lena, you’re coming with me to the infirmary to check on Sophie. Afterward, you can explain yourself.”

Turning to face the audience, Liam spoke firmly.

His tone suddenly sharpened.

“But until then, I expect no reckless speculation–and certainly no rumors that tarnish the Morgan family’s name. My methods should be familiar to all of you. Even if I’m only from a branch line, I still bear the Morgan name. Should your rumors cause damage to us, my uncle will not forgive it lightly.”

At once, the crowd fell silent. Not one dared continue gossiping.

Satisfied, Liam led Lena to the infirmary.
