Chapter 235
Keith continued to struggle, glaring fiercely at Marcus.
“Marcus! Do you think it’s all over?” he shouted, his voice echoing through the hall.
Marcus narrowed his eyes, looking at the man as if he were a mere clown.
“Didn’t you notice? While you were busy playing the hero, Sophie’s gone missing!” Keith’s face flashed with a sly grin.
As soon as the words left his mouth, Marcus’s gaze shifted to his side. Sophie, who should have been by his side, was nowhere to be found! Her fur coat was the only thing left lying on the floor.
“Seal off the venue!” His voice was thunderous.
With Hans’s instructions, within a minute, the entire hall was under control by royal guards, not even a fly could get in.
The crowd fell silent, afraid to provoke the man’s wrath.
After all, they hadn’t experienced his methods, but they had seen enough.
Marcus bent down, picking up the fur coat, then took a few steps forward, pushing through the royal guards, and tightly grabbed Keith by the collar.
Standing at nearly six feet four, Marcus towered over Keith, making him look like a child.
He was yanked up by the collar, struggling to breathe, his disgusting face turning beet red.
“Where is Sophie?” Marcus’s eyes were filled with murderous rage, as if he wanted to devour Keith.
Keith, however, still wore a mocking expression, raising an eyebrow and bracing himself with his feet. “You’re so smart, can’t you guess?”
Marcus was about to lose control, ready to choke the life out of Keith.
“Big Brother! No… are you going to kill him?” Gideon’s voice trembled, his face pale from fear.
Marcus slowly turned his gaze to Gideon, his eyes filled with fury.
“He won’t speak; you speak.” Marcus let go of Keith.
Keith fell heavily to the ground, gasping for fresh air as if he had narrowly escaped death.
Gideon’s gaze instantly shrank back, and he shook his head. “I… I don’t know…
Marcus nonchalantly sat back down, motioning to the royal guards.
One of the guards stepped forward and nodded.
Marcus told him: “Don’t hold back. Use your fists to teach these two until they speak the truth.”
The guard immediately turned around, his fists clenched, and struck one of the men across the face. A sweet, metallic taste filled his mouth.
He coughed violently, and a crimson stain appeared on the carpet, mixed with a few teeth.
Both men were stunned, Keith’s pupils dilated.
The guard raised his fist again, and Keith hurriedly looked up, crawling like a dog toward Marcus. “I’ll speak! I’ll speak!”
“It’s Liam!” Keith looked up, his face contorting with an ingratiating smile, like a dog wagging its tail.
Marcus uncrossed his legs and avoided Keith’s grasping hands.

Chapter 235
“Well, given the time, Liam has probably succeeded. Suddenly, Keith’s fare hanged, his smile turning serie.
Marcus was too lazy to waste words on such trash, standing up and taking long strides.
Before leaving, he tossed a parting comment: “Knock out all his teeth except one. I’ll buy up a listed company in America”
The man left, and the guards stepped forward again, their eyes filled with markery as they cracked their knuckles. Their fists came down like a storm. pounding the two men’s faces.
The crowd watched in morbid fascination, though they felt the bloodshed was bit much. Many covered their noses and mouths.
Not long after, a royal guard hurriedly approached: “Sir, we think we’ve found Miss Chandler’s whereabouts.”
Marcus quickened his pace.
Outside a room in the venue, royal guards had already surrounded it. Marcus didn’t hesitate and broke down the door.
Light flooded the room instantly, and Sophie, curled up in the corner, immediately lowered her head, shielding herself from the blinding light.
She huddled in the corner, her body trembling with fear.
Sophie slowly lifted her head. The light and shadows outlined Marcus’s tall figure as he walked in, and Sophie finally met his bloodshot eyes, eyes filled with urgency.
Without thinking, she stood up and threw her arms around his neck.
Her heart, which had just calmed down, began to race again. Strong waves of grievance surged in her mind.
Marcus whispered softly, his warm, broad palm resting on her cold, exposed back: “I’m here, I’m here…”
The royal guard checked the power and switched the main switch on.
The whole room lit up.
The bloodstain on the floor immediately caught Marcus’s attention, making his already crimson eyes appear even more intense.
The royal guards stood at the door, hesitating.
Marcus gently picked Sophie up, placing her on a nearby single sofa. He softly wiped the bloodstains from her pale feet, then knelt down to put her
shoes on.
Behind him, Liam was barely breathing, lying on the ground, his wheelchair toppled.
The air was thick with both the smell of blood and something strange.
“It’s aphrodisiac incense,” Sophie murmured, her gaze falling on the burning incense stick on the nightstand.
One of the guards stepped forward and poured water over the incense stick
Sophie lowered her gaze and met Marcus’s concerned eyes. He tightly grasped her hand, rubbing it repeatedly.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine,” Sophie forced a smile. “After what happened last time bought antidotes for aphrodisiacs, so Liam didn’t get what he wanted.* “Just…” Sophie frowned as Marcus tightened his grip on her hand. “He saw I didn’t have the medicine, and he tried to force himself. I resisted with all my strength, and that’s when…”
Marcus’s body pressed closer, holding Sophie tightly. Only when he could truly feel her warmth did he feel reassured.
After a moment, he stood up, holding Sophie horizontally in his arms. He glanced at Liam, lying motionless on the ground, his expression cold, as if saying ‘a dead man isn’t worth mourning.‘
“You were just acting in self–defense. Don’t worry, I’ll handle everything. Your priority right now is to rest well,” he said, his brows furrowed, looking

at her with a hint of reproach.
“But I…” Sophie tried to say something but was cut off by Marcus’s lips unexpectedly meeting hers.
The royal guards, witnessing the scene, looked away, no one paying attention to the barely conscious man lying on the ground,
Sophie felt a rush of embarrassment flood her face. Her earlobes turned red, and she buried her head deep into Marcus’s neck.
Marcus’s cold eyes swept across the room. “Leave this to you. Everything that Happened today, I trust the Crown Prince will handle it fairly.”
