I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 137

After dinner that evening.

While Jorrod was busy in the kitchen, Sienna snuck into the bedroom and pulled something out from the very back of her closet.

Just as Jorrod was about to walk out, he stopped dead in the kitchen doorway.

He stared blankly at the paper bag being shoved toward him.

"For you." Sienna felt incredibly awkward, and regardless of whether he reached for it or not, she pressed the bag directly against his chest.

Jorrod looked down.

He opened the bag to find a perfectly square, exquisite little box. Pulling it out, he popped it open. Lying neatly inside was a brand-new, intricately crafted black tie with a subtle jacquard pattern.

"You bought this... for me?" Jorrod looked up at her in sheer disbelief, asking just to make sure.

"Yeah... Remember when I cut up your other tie? I figured I should go buy a new one to replace it."

Bringing it up made Sienna feel a bit embarrassed.

Truth be told, she had bought this tie the very next day.

Out of curiosity, after she made the purchase, she secretly texted Silas Lester to ask what price range Jorrod's ties usually fell into.

When she got the number back, she sharply inhaled.

Immediately after, she sent Silas a picture of the martyred tie, asking for the price of that specific one.

Silas casually typed back a few words: [Oh, that one. YVAL gave it to him as a gift. Look at the back, it should have his initials custom-embroidered on it.]

That was when Sienna finally remembered.

The brand YVAL had been around for centuries and strictly refused personal customization. Yet, they had specifically tailored a unique belt and tie set just for Jorrod. It was a one-of-a-kind piece, the only one of its kind in the entire world.

Even though she didn't actively follow news about him, she had definitely seen headlines about it.

Silas had added one more comment: [You can't buy it on the market, so I don't know the exact price. But it's definitely way more expensive than his usual ones.]

Sienna couldn't even force a laugh after reading that.

Compared to his standard, the tie she had grudgingly spent a few thousand dollars on was completely inadequate.

So, the beautifully packaged bag had been promptly shoved into the back of her drawer.

But later, Sienna reconsidered.

She had already bought it. She might as well give it to him now, and she could slowly make up the massive price difference later.

Which led to this exact moment tonight.

Seeing that Jorrod was still just staring at the tie, his face completely blank and his emotions unreadable, Sienna quickly added, "It's okay if you don't like it. I can just—"

Jorrod suddenly stepped forward, pulling her tight into his arms and resting his chin on top of her head.
