Sienna naturally refused.
Bringing this man back was absurd enough. Making further concessions?
That would make her a complete saint.
Her parents had brought her into this world to enjoy life, not to perform acts of charity.
She rejected him without hesitation. "No way. No man has ever slept in my bed. If you sleep in it, how am I supposed to use it again?"
Jorrod pressed his lips together. "I'll buy you a new one tomorrow."
"I've slept on that bed for years. We have an emotional connection. I'm a nostalgic person; I can't just replace it on a whim."
"Any bed under fifteen thousand dollars. Take your pick."
Sienna couldn't stand this entitled attitude of the rich.
Throwing money at every problem, acting like there was nothing in the world cash couldn't fix. He stank of capitalism.
Today, she was going to teach this wealthy jerk a lesson.
Money wasn't everything.
She sneered. "You think I care about your fifteen grand? No deal."
Jorrod didn't back down. "Fifty thousand."
Sienna was getting annoyed. "It's not about the money. I said I don't want to."
His method of negotiating was simply increasing the number with a flat, emotionless tone. "Eighty thousand."
"Do you have to—"
"One hundred and fifty thousand."
"..."
Sienna went completely silent.
Fifteen grand she could scoff at. Thirty grand she could ignore. But a hundred and fifty grand right in her face? She wasn't nearly noble enough to keep arguing.
"Can I get that in cash?"
"One simple condition. The bed. If you refuse, I'll sleep on the sofa."
"..."
The room fell pin-drop silent for a few seconds.
Suddenly, the resolute figure whipped around.
Her bright face was radiant as the morning sun, her smile blooming like a flower.
