I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 19

"And that's what happened. That psychotic creep assaulted me and called me his wife."

Using a face like that to affectionately call someone "wife" was practically illegal.

But it still wasn't an excuse to let someone take advantage of her.

"I basically saved a venomous snake! Who physically attacks their savior's mouth?" The more Sienna thought about it, the angrier she got. "No wait, even snakes don't bite their rescuer on the lips!"

Elara glanced at her furious friend, then down at the unconscious Jorrod. Feeling like a husband stuck between a warring wife and mother-in-law, she had no idea who to pity more. She just silently thanked God she was off duty today and could rush over immediately to play peacekeeper.

Elara sighed. "But you didn't have to hit him that hard."

Sienna frantically defended her innocence, insisting she had only given him a tiny little slap.

The unconsciousness was simply the recoil from the slap.

"He just bumped his head. How was I supposed to know the guy was so fragile?"

Elara leaned down, thoroughly and carefully re-examining the back of Jorrod's head and his forehead.

Watching her friend act with such pure medical professionalism toward the bastard patient, Sienna felt guilty, yet incredibly shortchanged.

"With that venomous mouth of his, I was afraid his kiss would poison me."

She had literally invited a wolf into her home!

The real problem was that the moment his lips had crushed against hers, her mind had gone totally blank.

Her brain crashed. System failure.

It wasn't until he pushed her down onto the sofa, cupping the back of her head, completely devouring her lips, his hot, wet tongue slipping inside to sweep the roof of her mouth, sending a tingling sensation straight to her scalp, that she jolted awake like she'd been struck by lightning.

She had been forcibly kissed!!

And... and it was a French kiss!

Had he even brushed his teeth?!

The weirdest part was that just yesterday, this guy had been calling her blind and treating her like a walking plague. When she touched him, he looked so disgusted he practically demanded a bleach bath.

And yet, this same man woke up in heat and assaulted her mouth bright and early in the morning?

Sienna's head was about to explode.

Not to mention that husky, incomprehensible "wife."

Did a potential lawsuit just turn into a love confession?

Right then, Elara gasped, "Hey! Sienna, I think he's waking up."
