Listening to his pitch, Sienna nodded, skimmed through a few pages, and grabbed the pen Zachary offered. She signed her name cleanly at the end of the document.
Closing the folder, she handed it back to him.
He took it. "You're not going to read the whole thing?"
"No need," Sienna replied smoothly. "Since you sought me out for this partnership, I trust you came with sincere intentions. If I were overly paranoid, it would just make me look uncooperative."
Zachary's gaze grew increasingly appreciative. "You're very straightforward, Ms. Quinn. It seems my cold-blooded brother really did do a number on you."
Sienna didn't deny it; she just offered a bitter chuckle.
A flash of mockery and profound disappointment swept through her eyes. Her lips twisted into a sad smile. "I used to look at him like he was a god. I gave him my whole heart, and what did I get in return?"
"Abandonment. Betrayal. The sheer humiliation of being tossed aside like trash. If I have a chance like this, I don't just want to ruin him—I want to make sure he never recovers."
For a partnership like this, the more she hated Jorrod, the better.
Seeing the raw venom practically spilling from Sienna's eyes, Zachary smiled and extended his hand. "Then, here's to a fruitful collaboration."
But she didn't take his hand.
Instead, she suddenly looked down and pulled out her phone.
Speaking into the device, her tone instantly shifted to something light and cheerful. "About that villainess audition you mentioned earlier—I was a little nervous, but overall, I think I nailed the performance..."
Zachary froze, then abruptly lunged forward to grab her phone. "What the hell are you doing?!"
Sienna dodged him effortlessly and flashed a bright smile. "A director scouted me on the street the other day, and he's been hounding me for audition tapes. Thank you so much for cooperating with me this afternoon!"
"Don't worry, though. I made sure to keep your face out of the frame—I didn't want you stealing my spotlight! I'll give you my autograph today, and once I become a massive celebrity, I'll treat you to dinner!"
Zachary's head spun, a violent throbbing pulsing at his temples.
Suddenly realizing something, he snatched up the contract and frantically flipped to the last page.
There, scrawled in an elegant, sweeping script, was a single signature.
'The Superstar.'
Lunatic.
Zachary's face turned completely purple. His chest heaved violently as he slammed the folder down onto the table with a deafening smack.
***
Sienna returned to the office.
