I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 211

Sienna's patience evaporated after a single sentence.

Sure, he had arrived early and waited a long time, but she technically wasn't late.

She casually pointed at the watch face. "It's exactly seven o'clock, isn't it? I'm not late, so why are you snapping at me?"

Jeremy had never heard anyone speak to his boss in that tone of voice. He quickly let out a loud cough, desperate to break the suffocating tension. "Mr. Vaughn, shall we depart?"

Jorrod ignored Sienna entirely, pulling his gaze away as he gave a flat, emotionless "Hmm."

Jeremy's interruption, however, reminded Sienna of the breakfast packed in her bag.

"Hold on, Jeremy." She rummaged through her purse, pulling out two bulging food bags, and handed one to the driver in the front and the other to Jeremy.

"My mom made these," Sienna explained. "They're really good. I figured if you guys hadn't eaten breakfast yet, you could have a quick bite."

Jeremy was genuinely touched and incredibly flattered.

Most importantly, he hadn't eaten anything that morning, and his stomach was practically hollow. Sienna's offering was an absolute lifesaver.

It was just that...

He instinctively glanced over at the boss, who had been noticeably excluded from the distribution.

Sienna followed his hesitant gaze.

It wasn't that she had a vendetta against Jorrod and wanted to exclude him on purpose; she simply knew the man was incredibly demanding and a total germaphobe. She figured he would reject it anyway, so why bother trying?

Still, seeing Jeremy's hesitation, she offered a token question. "It's just simple home cooking. I assumed you'd find it beneath you, so I didn't bring one for you. You probably wouldn't eat it anyway, right?"

Jorrod's gaze swept over her, lingering on her face for less than a second before sliding away. As for the pastries, he completely ignored them.

Staring straight ahead, he replied coldly, "I won't."

Sienna immediately chimed in, "See? I told you he wouldn't eat it."

Since that day, the ring had disappeared without a trace.

Sienna understood why Jorrod was making this move. If he could convince Quincy to collaborate on a replica, it would cause a massive earthquake in the jewelry industry, and Stellaris Corp would rake in unimaginable profits.

But convincing Quincy?

That was going to be infinitely more difficult than it sounded.

Quincy was an old family friend of Jorrod's parents. Jorrod had tried extending invitations before, but Quincy refused all gifts and ignored all letters.

Even if Jorrod swallowed his pride and visited in person, Quincy would probably just call him a corporate sellout and kick him out without a second thought.

So, this time, she had been dragged into the negotiation squad.

But what she really didn't understand was...

"What exactly am I supposed to do here?"
