Jorrod looked like he wouldn't leave even if it killed him. He buried half his face in a throw pillow, his voice muffled. "We kissed, so you are my wife."

Sienna was left speechless by his twisted logic.

He was claiming they were married just because of a kiss. If this had been the Jorrod from yesterday, she would absolutely be facing a lawsuit over that kiss.

Whatever, there was no point arguing with a silly boy. Sienna simply pulled Elara over and planted a loud kiss on her cheek. "See that? I cheated! Come on, let's get you home."

"Why don't you just take care of him for a few more days? Maybe he'll recover soon. You like puppies, don't you? Look at him now. He listens to you so well. He's such a sweet puppy."

Sienna firmly rejected the label. "I like puppies, but I don't like silly puppies."

"Ahem," Elara stammered. "He's not silly, just a little emotionally immature right now. Plus, once he recovers, he'll be a smart puppy, a handsome puppy, a billionaire puppy."

Sienna's mouth twitched.

She couldn't understand what kind of brainwashing potion her friend had just swallowed.
