It felt like a dense, burning net tightly enveloping her, leaving no gaps, covering her entirely until the skin all over her body felt oxygen-deprived and breathless.

It was just applying ointment, yet she had somehow worked herself into a flushed state. Unwilling to admit her sudden fluster, she snapped, "Stop looking at me."

Jorrod obeyed her every word. The moment she gave the order, the man obediently lowered his eyelashes. Sienna watched him, paused, and stopped her hands. She handed him the ointment. "Forget it. It's just ointment. You can do it yourself."

Jorrod didn't take the ointment. He raised his eyes and looked at her again.

Sienna pushed it another half-inch forward. "Take it. I might have taken you in, but that doesn't mean you're here to act like a king..."

Suddenly, from the sofa, Jorrod opened his arms. Maintaining the dynamic of him sitting and her standing, he naturally embraced her, his arms wrapping tightly around her slender waist.

His head nuzzled right against her soft stomach.

Sienna froze. The words died in her throat, and the ointment remained suspended in mid-air.

She stared blankly at the fluffy top of his head in her field of vision. She could clearly feel his high-bridged nose scraping inch by inch against her stomach, mixing with his warm breath. Even through the thin fabric, it sent a jolt of electricity right through her.

He was still clinging to her, acting incredibly spoiled. "Wife, you are worried about me, right? Thank goodness you didn't throw me away..."

His voice was so close that it sent faint vibrations straight to her stomach.
