George and Lillian stood frozen in the hallway. They knocked on the door a few more times.

"Sienna?"

"Sienna?!?"

Sienna was in full panic mode. She bolted to the bathroom, ripped the door open, and immediately slammed it shut.

Her cheeks burned crimson.

She wasn't sure if it was from her lingering anger or the extremely inappropriate sight she had just walked in on.

Her heart hammered in her chest as she stuttered through the door, "P-p-put your pants on!"

Jorrod glanced at the door, dutifully zipped his pants, and casually stepped out.

Before he could even take a full step, Sienna shoved him right back inside.

"Sienna..."

She glared at him, issuing a strict warning. "You stay in here and lock the door. Do not make a sound, no matter who calls for you. Do you understand?!"

Jorrod's jaw tightened, his eyes darkening slightly.

He looked incredibly reluctant, but under her desperate gaze, he gave a slow nod.

Only then did Sienna run back to open the front door.

"Mom, Dad, the place was just a mess..."

Her parents didn't suspect a thing.

They carried in their bags, setting them on the coffee table before taking a seat on the sofa.

They had come to check on her and stock up her fridge with homemade food and dumplings.

Sienna suddenly realized something. "Isn't today Sunday? Dad, don't you usually have Mondays off?"

George looked a bit uncomfortable, exchanging a quick glance with his wife.

"Work has been really demanding lately. It's taking a toll on my health, so I asked Mr. Woods for some time off..."

Sienna's mind latched onto the phrase "taking a toll."

She asked frantically, "What's wrong, Dad? Are you sick? If it's too much, just quit. I can take care of you..."

"How could I quit? I still need to build a nest egg for my baby girl's wedding."

"What wedding? That's miles away."

Speaking of weddings, George had a bone to pick. "Have you and Liam not told Arthur yet?"

He had been displeased about this for a while. Sienna and Liam had been dating for a few months. The two families knew everything about each other. It was bad enough that George hadn't officially seen Liam since they started dating, but the boy was actually hiding it from his own parents.
