A moment later, she grabbed the change of clothes and shoved them into his arms.
"Go take a hot shower. Dry your hair and change into these before you come out."
While Jorrod went into the bathroom, Sienna sank into the sofa to catch her breath.
Listening to the steady patter of the shower, she looked down and tugged at her own damp collar.
Even though she had taken an umbrella, the wind had been fierce and they had walked quickly. A small umbrella barely covered two adults, and plenty of rain had whipped under the canopy.
She wasn't completely drenched like Jorrod, but she had definitely taken a hit.
So, when Jorrod finally stepped out of the bathroom, Sienna naturally grabbed her pink bear towel and pajamas to take her turn.
Stepping into the bathroom, she was immediately hit by a wall of dense, humid steam. The air hung heavy with stifling heat, infused with the fresh, zesty scent of blood orange body wash.
Sienna froze in the doorway.
Her nose twitched, and she took a couple of cautious sniffs.
It was the exact same body wash she used every single day. The scent was as familiar as breathing.
But right now, amplified by the trapped heat, it felt completely different.
A wave of deep discomfort washed over her.
The water on the floor had been wiped up, but there was no way the room was completely dry yet.
Much like the scent she encountered every day, inhaling it now made her feel as though it had been entirely hijacked by another person's masculine presence, triggering a relentless flood of intrusive thoughts.
None of them were decent. They were far too intimate and completely overwhelming.
The foreign presence enveloped her, seeping into her pores.
It was suffocating her.
Sienna's expression turned grim.
She felt like some perverted emperor sneaking into the bathhouse to aggressively sniff the lingering scent of a beautiful concubine who had just finished bathing. Her imagination was running dangerously wild.
Treating it like nothing more than a momentary lapse of sanity, Sienna walked right out of the bathroom just as quickly as she had walked in.
