I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 89

Sienna's voice was soft; her reprimand didn't sound like a reprimand, and her scolding didn't sound like scolding. It came out sounding much more like flirting. "Don't say that."

"Then how should I say it? Teach me."

"Why do I have to teach you everything? Am I your mom or your girlfriend?"

"I..." Jorrod started to reply, but suddenly caught the underlying meaning of her words. He looked up, his eyes shining brilliantly.

"You... you..."

"Me what? Go to sleep. You have plenty of time to figure it out, and your girlfriend has to go to work tomorrow."

Sienna rattled off the sentence smoothly, but the moment the words left her mouth, she didn't dare hold his intense, burning gaze. She quickly snapped her head back around, awkwardly tugging the blanket up to bury her face.

Immediately, she felt the arm strapped across her waist tighten. It possessed an undeniable, commanding strength, yet the deeply possessive posture carried an almost reverent devotion.

His rock-solid chest was pressed flush against her back, to the point where she could feel the chaotic, racing thud of his heart.

Every single beat sent a scorch of heat straight through to her own chest.

Jorrod rubbed his nose affectionately against her earlobe, pressing a soft kiss just behind her ear. His breathing was scorching hot, his hoarse voice grating intimately against her ear like a tiny hook, ruthlessly scratching at the deepest corners of her heart in the dead of the night.

"Darling, you're entirely mine from now on, right?"

"Everyone is a free and independent individual. Stop talking like you just bought me at an auction."

"Darling, I'm going to cure my condition as quickly as I can. Once I get my memory back, I will definitely take responsibility for you."

"Stop telling ghost stories this late at night."

"Darling, I like you. I'm always going to like you."

"Thanks for the support, fan."

"Darling, you like me too, right?"

"Mm, maybe a little bit."

Even if it was just a little bit, it was more than enough to leave him overflowing with gratitude and absolute contentment.

Jorrod's heart had never felt this impossibly full. The turbulent blood racing through his veins felt as if it had melted into sweet syrup, flowing richly through every single pathway in his body.

Where Sienna couldn't see, the man's lips curved upward. Instinctively, he tightened his arm again, embedding her even deeper into his embrace.

His overwhelming masculine scent wrapped around her entirely.

"Can I kiss you?"

"What did you promise me just a few minutes ago?"

Only resting. Absolutely nothing else.

"I'll just kiss you."

"Your kisses never stay innocent."

His mouth didn't stay innocent, his hands definitely didn't stay innocent, yet the words coming out of his mouth were so painfully earnest they made her ears burn.

Jorrod paused for a moment before offering, "Then you just rest. I'll do it myself."

"..." Did he think she was a log? How could anyone fall into a deep sleep while being kissed and touched?

Jorrod leaned in even closer, his voice devastatingly hoarse. "Darling, please..."

She finally turned to face him. "Only one minute..."

Before she could even finish the sentence, Jorrod gripped her jaw, tilted her head up, and captured her lips with a heavy, ragged breath.
