In the main hall, Zoe happily pinched Lily's cheek.

"After we finish eating, Mommy will take you out to play, okay?"

Lily nodded enthusiastically, then lowered her voice to whisper a secret to Zoe.

"Mommy, I think I saw Daddy just now. He's with Ms. Winters and her son."

Zoe had already noticed they were there.

Running into them while just trying to get dinner—talk about rotten luck.

If she had known they were coming, she and Lily wouldn't have bothered.

"Yeah, just ignore them. Let's focus on our food."

Once Lily was full and satisfied, she said she wanted to go play in the courtyard.

There happened to be a few other kids playing outside the restaurant.

Zoe affectionately rubbed Lily's fluffy little head.

About ten minutes later, Lily suddenly ran back inside, crying.

Zoe was instantly on edge.

"What's wrong? Did someone bully you? Are you hurt?"

"It's Ms. Winters's son... He's scratching our car! He's drawing a big turtle on it!"

Zoe stood up abruptly. It was that little demon again.

Zoe immediately grabbed Lily and stormed into the courtyard. Sure enough, Holden was standing there with a rock in his hand, scraping her pink Maserati until it looked like an absolute disaster.

"Big turtle! Ugly woman!"

Lily was heartbroken seeing her mother's car ruined like that. Normally, she was terrified of Holden, but this time, the tiny girl summoned courage from somewhere and charged right up to him.

"Stop it! This is my family's car. My mommy is here!"

Holden didn't take Zoe seriously at all. He still remembered how she looked crawling on the ground like a horse for him, and he stuck his tongue out at her, pulling a face.

"My mom and Uncle Hayden said this car is too ugly, so I'm making it pretty for you."

Zoe felt a surge of pure rage as she stared at the two massive turtles carved into her brand-new car.

"Your mom is ugly! Your whole family is ugly!"
