"You heard her. Zoe didn't go to Sterling to work. She's just using her position to get close to Garrett, having an office romance under the guise of work.

"At Grandmother's birthday banquet, the staff told me Arthur Kendall Sr. went into her study. That old man is still scheming at his age, fully supporting Garrett getting together with Zoe.

"Hayden, my real motive for designing the smart companion robot was to build something like my grandfather to give your grandmother the company she used to have. That way, whatever Mr. Kendall is plotting, his plans will fall apart."

Hayden's expression darkened with every word she spoke.

"I should have known Zoe wouldn't agree to let Sterling enter the picture. She simply doesn't want us to succeed in developing this robot. Hayden, Sterling Group has government resources. If it weren't for that specific advantage, I wouldn't even want to work with them.

"Garrett and Zoe are totally in sync now. I don't know what kind of spell she put on him, but if she's using him to retaliate against us and sabotage the company, any future collaboration with Sterling is going to be impossible."
