He didn't join in on Mrs. Winters' vitriolic rant against Zoe. Instead, he played the peacemaker.

Terrence's eyes were practically brimming with manufactured sincerity. Finishing his act, he looked forward at Hayden.

"But overall, we owe everything to Hayden this time. If it weren't for him and Old Madam Thorne stepping in, I would be rotting in a cell for ten years. I definitely need to pour her a few drinks tonight to express my deepest gratitude."

Hayden smoothly steered the wheel, offering no response. Grandview Gardens was already in sight.

Hayden and Sienna got out of the car, holding Holden's hands, while Mr. and Mrs. Winters followed closely behind.
