I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 374

Zachary swept a hostile glance over him. "If Sienna hadn't met with me personally, I never would have accepted Easton's partnership."

His meaning was clear: he was giving Hayden no respect.

"I'm determined to win Sienna. The Thorne family can't possibly expect her to live like a widow at such a young age."

Hayden took a sip of his wine. Zachary's ten sentences only earned him a few words in response: "Do as you please."

His expression showed he didn't view Zachary as a threat at all.

Zachary grew angry and pressed a hand to his chest.

Hayden frowned. Just one sentence, and Zachary was trying to put on a show at such an important event?

"Haydenโ€”Hayden Thorneโ€”"

He looked toward Sienna, as if begging her for help.

When Zachary finally collapsed, Hayden realized he was actually in trouble.

Just as he pulled out his phone to make a call, a familiar voice rang in his ear.

"Sir, if you feel terrible, bite my hand. Don't hold it inโ€”"

Zoe had rushed over as fast as she could, and Garrett was right behind her.

He had no idea Zoe even knew first aid.

"What's wrong with Mr. Harrison?"

Observing his symptoms, Zoe replied, "It's an epileptic seizure."

Garrett pulled her hand back and shoved his own fist into Zachary's mouth, letting the man bite down ruthlessly without making a sound.

Zoe administered first aid while calling for an ambulance.

Over at the stage, Sienna was speaking passionately. It wasn't that she hadn't noticed a commotion, she simply didn't care.

Even as the sirens wailed closer, no one spared any attention for Zachary.

Zachary was loaded into the ambulance. Zoe held Garrett's hand, looking at the deep teeth marks with a heavy heart.

"Garrett, your hand is hurt. Hurry and get it bandaged at the hospital. I'll go with you."

Garrett shook his head. "You stay here. The company's exhibition is more important."
