On stage, Cherry smoothly delivered the five-minute speech from Zoe's script. The ensuing silence in the auditorium was quickly replaced by thunderous applause.

Cherry was as elusive as a ghost.

"You're Lily's assistant, right? How long have you been working for her? Does Zoe know Lily? What exactly is their relationship?"

Cherry had no idea when Sienna had started tailing her.

She shot the woman an icy glare.

"I don't know who you are, and I have no obligation to tell you anything."

Cherry spoke in fluent French. Sienna froze for a few seconds before a smug smile touched her lips.

She replied in the same language.

"You can pretend you don't know me, but I know for a fact that Lily and Zoe are connected.

If Zoe wasn't working for Lily, how could she possibly have so much money?

Zoe slaved away at Easton Group for five years, not even taking a salary. I have every reason to suspect she's a corporate spy sent by Lily."

Cherry genuinely marveled at Sienna's wild imagination. Yet, she had absolutely no response to the baseless theory.

No one knew better than Cherry what Zoe's past five years had actually looked like.

But she decided to play dumb to the very end.

"I don't understand a single word you're saying. Please step aside."

Sienna scoffed and rattled off a long string of French.

Cherry froze. How could Sienna possibly know about her deepest, most heavily guarded secret?
